- In this video I share my Valentine's day idea, sweet 🖤 buns.
The recipe comes from the Nordics where this type of yeast dough is used.
I am sure your loved one will appreciate this gesture making these buns!

Recipe:
160g milk
75g butter
(optionally) 0.5g tsp cardamom
25g fresh yeast
0.5 egg (another half keep for brushing)
60g sugar
0.5 tsp salt
Flour: 150g spelta + 225g white bread flour
Sugar syrup:
60g H2O
40 caster sugar
Cinnamon sugar:
50g Demerara sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Cocoa sugar:
100g sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder

These look delicious! I am going to try them. I don't have access to fresh yeast. How much active dry yeast could I substitute in its place? Could I use all purpose flour?

yes, you can, use half amount of the fresh yeast. All purpose flour will work perfectly too!

Hey, if you go for bread flourI recommend to watch the dough and feel the consistency, as spelt flour normally absorb less liquid. :)
