Myself and several other smaller no-name artists I know have had our original art removed from sites like amazon, redouble, tee public, etc. simply because our drawings might use the same colors. (Rainbow colors using pink instead of red - nothing special.) So she files copyright reports because she thinks she owns the rainbow. And this is recent.
The factory is coming back here in AZ where I live , they just repainted everything again and the rainbow characters were standing in front of the building. I am so excited to see what they are going to do considering it's been 11 years since they shut it down. Great video, just wanted to let you know an update on what they are doing!
Whoa, that's really interesting to hear! I've noticed that LF has been doing more brand collaborations recently. Maybe they'll be launching more new products soon? Thanks so much for sharing this info!
@@JenniferLanda Your very welcome :) I hope they bring back the stores too, they used to have them in the mall here in AZ too back in the early 2000s when I was only 10,11.
I drive by it all the time, it’s been repainted for a while, I drove by the front a few days ago, there are windows in the lobby busted and there are no signs of any activity on the property.
@@Chelsgirl31 it was a tik tok video, the news just picked up on it, who knows what the plans are if anything, would be great if they did come back, just saying as of right now there is not really any activity at the site and it doesn't really show any immediate signs of re-opening but maybe they are trying to get investors first
I remember the Lisa Frank store in the Tucson mall and I loved going there, me and my bestie at the time would stay up all night doing this sequin push pin crafts lol we had so much fun, I miss the 90s
Love this video! Even though this wasn’t my jam back in the 80s because I was a young boy, my wife and I still have nostalgic memories of seeing Lisa Frank EVERYWHERE!!:) As a result, if we see a piece of current day LF merch, we pick it up for our 10 and 5 year old daughters:) Love ya, Jennifer!
Being from Tucson I know this Cruel woman personally. Voted WORST BOSS in Arizona several times. She slandered her poor husband who is a nice guy. Lise would lock designers in the workshops. Not let employees use the bathroom. Verbal abusive to staff.
normally I see Jennifer Landa on the Forcecenter and Othercenter podcast videos, so I was shocked when I stumbled upon this video as I was going down a rabbit hole of research into the Lisa Frank company. Good work and happy beeps on this.
Haha! I've been having fun talking about all things retro, but once the writers and actors strike ends, I'll dive back into Star Wars as well! Thanks so much for watching!
i thought it was gonna be some cancel culture bs but this is an awesome video, very informative, it is crazy to recall how big Lisa Frank was and once we grew it kinda dissappeared, I only remembered this company today because i got an email about a crocs collab.

@@esiebert7625 oh then why were the dressed up creatures of the merchandise waving in the front of the building on that news video about it?

She stole her original designs. She's not an honest or good person.

The rainbow tea 🔥🌈🦄 is whoa. Well put together, Jenn.
Haha! I love that! Thanks so much for watching!! 🤗

I do the same thing for my daughters! Kids still love Lisa Frank. Thanks so much for watching the video! 🤗

Blaming her husband for all the horrible events is bullshit. Lisa is just as toxic and nasty. (Ask ANYone who worked at the FL plant.)
My girlfriends in middle school all had lisa frank gear. Lol brings back lots of fun memories. I was born in 78' started middle school in 90.

I'm so glad you found me! The Lisa Frank story is a fascinating one. Here's hoping they make a documentary or docu-series about it!
Rondi screen says she was Kurtz was designer to 2022, but you verbally say 2002.
Wow I didn't recognize this channel for a second because it isn't Star Wars haha, great video can't wait to see your Ahsoka reaction!

I was so hoping that somewhere a documentary would be made!
Right?! Hopefully it will come out sometime next year. [fingers crossed]

“Cancel culture” is not as much of a problem as the internet has scared you into thinking it is
I worked there around 2012. It was pretty weird
Great video, thank you for this!
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Lisa Frank's pop art style was inspired by Peter Max. :)
Very informative dive into that rainbow gaudiness.
"Rainbow gaudiness," I love that description! It perfectly describes the brand. Thanks so much for watching!
Sigourne Weaver looks like Lisa frank.
People like this is why workers rights need to exist
You’re still my #1 UA-cam crush
Aw, that's very sweet of you to say. Thank you!
Bring her original art back and leave her evil ex-husband out ot it. 😊
She is the money st genius
Lisa is a smart Jewish girl that knows how to make lots of bucks
I feel so saddened, as a Lisa Frank fan. Poor Lisa, it is revolting what happened to her.
Huh? She's an abusive monster.
Born in 70s, grew up in 80s…. Aint NEVERRRRRRR heard of or seen this Frank person’s work. Must have been strictly west coast!
Definitely not, I have lived in IL, TX and OR and seen it in all these places.
