I saw those loonies coming from a washer and I was like "Canadian laundry content!" I am knee deep in the process of starting my own. how long did it take you to get your first store?
So my first store was turnkey and hit the ground running, but this one was under construction and landlord headaches for about 4 months.. but location was fantastic, in just a few months of operation it's now consistently doing 6000 in revenue! Good luck on your laundromat!! I'd love to hear more about it! Remember, people LOVE big machines!!
What part of Canada are you in ? West coast - middle or east coast. When I would travel down to California the laundromat I would go to had no cash , you would purchase a card and load it with whatever amount and then use the card at the machines. The owner said it pretty much eliminated robbery as none of the machines had money and the machine that was used for loading the card was built into a fortress. Of course the other benefit he said he didnt get bothered by the irs as it was no longer a cash business
I'm in the east! I've thought about adding a card system, but I don't know if I could switch over 100%. I've been looking into a system that allows people to use an app to pay, that doesn't eliminate the coin acceptor, so I could go combo pay at this location. The only downside is the initial setup cost, I need a few months of saving first lol
thank god for new laundromat content!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tune in EVERY WEEK!! I'm going to keep pumping out one a week of as long as I can!!
Peole like clean threads. You're doing the community a service for a small profit. 👍
I've always thought, as long as you can find a product or service everyone needs in perpituity... you'll always be okay
