OOOH, I want to go to Sweden SOOO much. I've been to Norway as a teen and I loved it, I saw a guy there who was absolutely GORGIOUS!!!! The only thing I don't like about the Norse nations is how expensive everything is. £25 for 1 small cheese pizza!!!! I too collect toy soldiers. You can import them from America if you get an account with BMC toys, that's where I get most my army men from. I also want to go to Japan, one of my favourite countries in the world. Norway is an AWESOME place, I WILL go to Sweden and Finland some time in the future. I've got most the Norse flags apart from the Sami, Faroe islands and Aland!!!! Greeting from the UK!!!!
My 6 year old grandson has had me painting his plastic you soldier collection since I put some home painted civil war set I purchased at HOBBY LOBY in his Easter basket. I’m not sure how many I’ve painted since his collection has DDay US Army, British German ,WW2 Marines, JAPANESE,ALAMO SET OF MEXICAN AND DEFENDERS, Templer Knights, Cowboys and Indians, and Revolutionary War sets. I knew they had a toy soldier convention at the Menger it’s a 20 min drive from us. But I didn’t know the had plastic soldiers there. We will be there next May. A note if you find yourself in San Antonio there is a toy soldier store probably 20 minutes from the Alamo called King & Country Texas/Kings X Toy Soldiers they have a great collection and are open seven days a week.
That is awesome that you are doing that for your Grandson! Unfortunately the Texas Toy Soldier Show did not happen this year (2024) but we are hoping it is back for 2025!
@ 7:38 in the video, there is shown on a table a large white box set written in red letters it says, Tarawa Atoll Betio Island and i cant make out the rest. Does anyone know what it is and if its a box set, who makes it? TY
Found it! It is TSSD Playset Tarawa Atoll. Limited run playset. Sells on ebay for at least $300.TSSD was Toy Soldiers of San Diego. Their figures are now made/sold by another company. Here is that link: micshaunscloset.com/collections/tssd-toy-soldiers-of-san-diego
The US and UK have such great toy soldier shows. Sweden not so much. One of these days I will have to get over there for one of these shows.
You would enjoy it. The Chicagoland Show got off to a great start this year, I would aim for that one.

Is there a 2024 show?
Were not sure yet. This show has a very small staff and last year it took a while for the info to come out.
