@@bricktasticanimations4834i think the difference being is that while X is a rebranding done by an inept billionaire who came in and began pointing at things he said didn't work,, and making them worse.
Dropout was due in part to Sam Reich regaining control of the studio that he created, to mark a distinctly new chapter in the company, or maybe more accurately, the fulfillment of a transition the company has been working on for a while. It's quite a bit more appropriate in this case and frankly if you do consider yourself to be a fan of their work, maybe you don't I don't know you, then I don't think there should be a problem in calling them Dropout now.

real talk when we get some behind the scenes stuff please let us see/thank the makeup and costume artists because HOLY are they talented, and their work is going to be so integral to this show.
Good news from the future! After every episode, they have a postmortem with the director and the head of makeup.

This looks UNHINGED. Dropout is just absolutely killing the game right now. Love the wide variety of content, love the inclusiveness, and love that everyone always seems to be genuinely having the best time ever.

"Hello My Name Is" was my favorite Collegehumor show, and I'm SO happy to see it being brought back in this new form with Vic as the host.
This is going to have to be my "shut up and take my money" moment with Dropout.
I do hope that (a) Vic gets their own opportunity in the makeup chair and (b) Pat Cassels comes back for a special interview at some point.

Vic Michaelis is super, super clever with her improv, I'm glad she's getting her own show. It looks like fun, and cheers to Dropout for going this experimental (instead of yet another panel show). I'm looking forward to it!

I agree with all the love pouring out here, and I'll add that I continue to be impressed that Dropout consistently produces content that highlights the talent of the people behind the camera, too. The make-up and prosthetics shown here, the maps, sets, and minis for Dimension20...they really make a point of showcasing the entire crew's talent.

Counterpoint. This is an old Josh Rubin series called "Hello, my name is" being revived. Looks dope, will watch, but this is about as original as the musical show.

Absolutely obsessed with the editing and aesthetic choices made in this trailer for the series. Whoever settled on "mid-day, soft-spoken 1980s interview" as the format was a genius
The makeup and costuming team for Dropout is extremely talented and this is a genius way to show that off. This is a day 1 watch for me!
I love the concept of this show I can’t wait but I feel like there’s a bit of uncanny valley with Vic’s makeup that really adds to the whole vibe and I love it.
Vic is so quick on her feet, she's perfect for this. Her dry style is also challenging for the comedians. Should be fun.

Love it, amazing idea and Vic has that chaotic energy that makes them ideal for the job. I did find it odd tho to put all the outfit transformations with the names of the comedians in the trailer, feels like it spoils too much of the episodes.
