Hello Dr. Philipp, I have found 3 big fragments of possible meteorites, which are strongly magnetic, and believed to be a stony-iron meteorite. The incredible thing is that I cut a slab from one of the rocks, and found a matrix of super tiny grains with a diversity of colours. I am supposing that they may be so old like a 4.6 billion year old meteorite in Albany Museum, New York. I am from Vietnam, and it is told that they are incapable of testing them due to lack of modern technologies, and experts. Do you run a paid service for testing a meteorite? I will be happy if you can help. It makes a big sense to me, and space science in Vietnam, as well. Thank you, and look forward to hearing from you.

I have a small piece of the meteor that hit AZ 50,000 years ago and made meteor crater. It’s metal a little bigger than an egg. So cool to hold something not from this earth.

I witnessed a meteorite landing near Palm Springs in the mid 1980s, the fireball was large and moving slowly. The flames were bright orange but at the front it was bright green. It was very close and we searched the next morning, and we believe it buried itself in the old polo grounds where I think they now have music festivals every year (Coachella) ? I would love to find it. I purchased a meteorite from a rock, gem, and mineral show a few years ago it came from Argentina and has many interesting "fingers" it is Iron/nickel and one these resembles the face and shoulders of a brooding great ape . A monkey faced meteorite !

In like 1999 when I was a kid I saw one fall from the sky. Looked like a line/flash of orange light. Never heard a sonic boom or anything. Started to look a few years ago and found a huge crater and a meteorite that is almost completely non magnetic except for the face and back. I’d never sell it and it was never reported. Made a nice crater I have the video and stone up I found ash along with giant pieces of glass take a peak the channel is new but there will be more to come 😉

The galaxy is so vast, that once we collide w/ the Andromeda Galaxy is 4-5 billion years from now, it’s statistically very unlikely for any star systems to collide.
It’s be like 2 specs of dust floating in the Pacific Ocean, finding each other and colliding.

How would you even research this chondrite to find what the particular abundances are in relation to rare earth's and heavy elements. You would certainly need an inner specimen but would be difficult to find how much earth's material leached in if it were under water at all. All in all, the natural abundances do not reflect whole solar system abundance, but just that component where this object formed. A larger sample of these rare flying objects is required to find exactly how many supernova, and even neutron star collisions were necessary for our present Earth abundance, and how much fell beyond our grasp to the Earth's core.
