      It amazes me how often especially when we are touring that it comes in handy, I’ve helped so many people on our travels. Puncture repair kit is another thing I can’t believe people do not carry, and often they don’t know how to plug a tyre either 🤷‍♂️

      @@johnterry804 Yes absolutely 💯 I will always stop and at least see if I can help, it’s what us bikers do for each other and we must never let that stop. I’ve even helped a car or two when there’s a obvious puncture at the side of the road because I tend to keep a plug kit, foam can and pump on my bike always. However these Africa twins are tubed so not so easy anymore!

    I like the idea of the pump also acting as a power bank, sweet
    Personally, I use a Thieye compressor mainly because of it’s small size

    • @ontheroadadventure
      @ontheroadadventure  9 місяців тому +1

      I won’t use compressors off the bike now, it can blow a fuse and cause more problems, like you say the power bank always being present can also get you out of trouble and these things hold there charge for sooo long!

    You can buy valve adaptors that screw into the end of the pumps tube with the same end as an ordinary foot pump. This makes it much easier to attach and remove without losing any air.

    • @ontheroadadventure
      @ontheroadadventure  9 місяців тому +1

      ok that sounds handy we will look them up. You can get Right angle valve adapters too which make it easier to get to the valves

    I have a a fair bit of room under the seat of my VStrom. I carry a tubeless repair kit and a pump I can plug into the 12v socket. But that looks like a really useful little pump, and.... Christmas is coming. 😉

    • @ontheroadadventure
      @ontheroadadventure  9 місяців тому +2

      I found from experience that the 12v plug in pumps can often blow fuses on the bike, swapping one problem for another! Ever since I use this type, it’s always extra power sat waiting too incase the phone should run out of battery or something

    • @bensondavies5134
      @bensondavies5134 5 місяців тому +1

      Yeah I've just bought a v strom 650 and apparently the fuse is only 3 amp on the 12v socket......can only handle a phone/GPS

    What's a point of that ?I have normal much smaller and lighter compressor with plugs to my cigarette socket no need for charging smaller lighter and cheaper this just trying to reinvent wheel ! Useless product !small compressor you can buy for as little as 10 pounds

    • @ontheroadadventure
      @ontheroadadventure  9 місяців тому +2

      Well for us there’s a few reasons why we carry these style at all times. Unfortunately, particularly the cheap plug in compressors are known to draw to much power and can cause you problems with fuses etc especially on newer bikes, it can put a drain on the battery also, but also we like the fact that we know we have an additional power source to get us out of trouble that does not rely on the bike. When long distance travelling power banks are a god send!

      @@ontheroadadventure is up to you offcourse what you use and what you promote! I just shared my opinion that's a beauty about youtube if ppl posting useless advice everybody can say what they really think !! I just don't see a point of using neither buying this product , what you said about burring fused is in my experience not true never heard about it in my 20 years motorcycling !maybe there is problem with your motorcycle if fuse is buring or perhaps to many things connected at once draining your battery! simple prevention is you start your engine first then your compressor thats like basics ,anyways I don't like that product nothing against your channel or you personally just maybe worth saying why I don't like so here is why
      Large size
      Price
      Weight heavy !!
