Great video Eric. You've done little bits about maintenance and cleaning but perhaps a series on it would be useful to everyone. Recommended maintenance and care of all the essential things that we use in our kitchens and for smoking. Like knives, stuffers, grinders, smokers. I think a lot of people get these things and have a lot of fun using them but don't really understand how to take care of them properly. They just don't know the best practices for cleaning and maintaining all of their equipment.
Nice, i'd love to see the next vid on how to season the smoker!
Looking forward to your next video. Hoping you will make more videos on the smoke-it smokers.
Perfect timing. I'm about to build my aluminum smoker.
Tried using spray oven clear, It works AWESOME to remove all that Nastiness . 👍🏿
Cheers 🍻
Eric, Thank You for sharing. Looking forward to the next video on seasoning the box.
Very interesting, thank you. Nice job cleaning that smoker, it looks great! I can also see the value in having one with straight sides and removable rails!
Really impressed with your hard work! Amazing!
Eric that job needed a pressure washer but good job it looks a lot better.
For real!!!
What I use as a smoker is a Smoking Tex 1500 comercial. I like to use it for sausage, jerky and as warming oven.
Wow I’m impressed with how clean you got it. How long did that take?
1.5 days. it was ridiculous
Uh oh! Next week better hurry. I deep cleaned my smoker last spring and started smoking till a couple months ago. I need the education of how to properly maintain it
Eric, great video. I can't wait for the next video on the how to.
Thanks brother.
Wow, good to know! I look forward to seeing next week's video👍
Good to know, thank you!
It's a smoker.. they're supposed to be black and brown inside, i just scrape and clean whatever residue there is and that's about it. Personally don't want any chemicals in there either. I admire determination of this man on doing things.
That's not the point of this video. This video simply shows you what happens when you do not properly season your smoker. Sure, it's going to get dirty, but do you have that layer of protection between the smoker walls and the gunk?
Very interesting video, looking forward to the next one. Question why don't manufactures provide instructions on how properly season your smoker. The most recent one I bought only recommended running it for a 30 minute smoke cycle and not coating the walls. As always good information.
I probably should clean my electric smoker. But I'm not sure if I can use a hose to spray it out, or if too much water will ruin it?
Epic soundtrack!
Woah! That's an OCD person's dream right there! What did you use in your spray?
LOL, It's a degreaser called Formula 83
@@2guysandacooler thanks, maybe I'll look into that.
How long did you take on the smoker, that's seriously impressive, the rails and all do clean 🤠
That degreasing music is kino
SuperThankyou.
Oven cleaner is a smokers best friend. While still warm spray with cleaner wait 10 minutes then rinse with hose. Job done. That smoker was disgustingly dirty. Clean your smoker more often.
Hi Eric, could you tell me what kind of degreaser you used on this
Sure, It's a degreaser called Formula 83. It's some random degreaser I found here where I live that works like a champ!!
Seems kinda strange idk... you'd think an expensive smoker would be made out of quality stainless steel and this shouldn't rrally be much of a issue...
But idk what's the standard... cutlery steel is quite a lot more expensive then you're average every day stainless on the other hand
(And u know i still have a few spoons and forks i inherated which maybe 40 or 50 years old without a spek of rust
I don't soak them in acid for ages but still)
