My dad served as a foreman of a jury for a murder trial. He said the video evidence was clear as to who the killer was. Two black men got into an argument in a bar. One left and came back with a gun and shot the other man. All the jurors voted guilty except one black lady who refused to vote guilty, not because there was a reasonable doubt, but because there are too many black men in prison already.
So that lady is fine with a murderer walking the streets of her community because too many black men are in prison.

The person that was acquitted for the Reginald any case was found, not guilty that I just don’t understand how you think just because a trial doesn’t go your way that somebody’s guilty. As far as the spectators on the overpasses, realize virtually everyone myself included thought he was innocent and we wanted it to be found innocent at that time (a week after the news broke). The trial definitely proved he was quilty and we in general were simply shocked and saddened. In my Naval command offices (probably 45 whites/blacks) watched the verdict being read. It was rather eye-opening to see the number of black people openly cheering and clapping when an obviously guilty O.J. was declared “not guilty” by the jury while the distraught family members of Goldman and Brown sat devastated. Not only were so many black people willing to overlook what they knew to be true and right in order to celebrate some mis-perceived victory for their community specifically, but it also established a precedent whereby a jury could be influenced into returning the “proper” verdict to avoid civil unrest and violence.
