I'm in Australia and saw it twice at the cinema. Sad that most of the world didn't get that opportunity. Incredible film, incredible story, incredible bravery.
During the applause after receiving the Medal of Honor you can see, that he dosen't give a shit about that medal but just would want to have his friends and comerads back. What a man and warrior. just did what he thought necessary to save as much of his men possibly.
@@92GreyBlue he explains it in one of his interviews, said he felt anger at that moment and in his eyes did nothing more or less then the other 52 man in the outpost.
For some of us who were kids that saw many heroic military actions as "glorious", it wouldn't be hard to understand how the look of obvious pain and burden of that man in the chair (SSgt Romesha) shows, would look back, wishing that they would never wish the burdens that come with such glory to be bestowed on any other human being. Though deserving of the highest award, comes with a price that cannot be paid, to him. Although it's easy for me to say that SSgt Romesha is a hero, no matter how many people say it, or how we say it, this man will live the rest of his life believing that he is undeserving, rather wishing the award be given to his brothers who are no longer with us.
You were just doing your job and for that I am proud to call myself an American. For the men and women who serve not only their country but who will put themselves at risk and who given everything for their fellow soldiers. This country can never thank you enough. God Bless you and all the members of our arm forces.
You are incredible and a hero in every way and you have paid the ultimate sacrifice and you wear it deep in your heart may you be blessed till the end of days ❤️
What I can't understand is why anyone would ever dislike this, other than being a troll and wanting be one of the 11 that disliked this video. I, myself, am a veteran and know that when the shit hits the fan that the only thing that matters is those standing next to you. I wish I could put into words how those people next to you are closer to you than your own blood family, or how you know they would give their lives to save yours, and vice versa. I wish I could put into words the closeness that pulls people together from different walks of life. People you don't necessarily agree with but through your interactions with them you would give your life to protect, even if you feel they are stupid. You can't understand unless you have been through it. Nothing can put it into words, but then it isn't for everyone else. It is for those next to you.
Absolute respect. When they couldn't push no more he said yes we can. I can't believe what there team was faced with and against the odds reclaimed there fallen soldiers. I can only admire them from afar as I will never understand what they must feel. And had felt when retrieving there fallen. God bless them and all the soldiers that fought for there county and ours.
The military’s greatest honor, is never not accompanied by tremendous loss, heartache, and lives lost. The utmost respect, more than anything in this world to all those who have received this medal, but I pray for the day when we don’t have to award this medal anymore. May we all find peace someday
How can the Army leadership establish "indefensible outposts" and put our soldiers in harm's way? As an Army veteran, I am totally outraged... but am truly proud of our soldiers who, without a bit of reservation, fought and defended our principle.
Spine chilling courage from Clint and all the guys involved. And nice to have a mentally stable non-genius POTUS with very nice description of events awarding the Medal of Honor.
If the children in the audience are not his, do not bring them to someone's commemoration and let them cry through it, this is a sacred ritual and demands silence and respect. God bless you staff sergeant.
You're an Idiot... First, your grammar is awful. Second, it's medals* not metals. Third, the Medal of Honor is definitely a sacred honor... It offers a special pension pay, 10% increase in retired pay, and a child of a recipient will be instantly admitted to any United States Military Academy if qualified. Many other medals are worthless, but this can not be said about the MoH. Don't talk shit unless you know what you're talking about.
@Roger Clemons you’re an idiot. There is no motivation to get a Medal of Honor. Almost everyone to whom it is awarded gets it posthumously. Living awardees are rare, because it requires complete lack of concern for one’s own life and giving all for your comrades in arms. Most soldiers, btw don’t give a squat about any award they get.
NOTICE to ALL AMERICAN GENERALS & ADMIRALS: NO MORE defending the indefensible. God Bless the heroes. God Bless all American Warriors. God Bless America.
Wish the government paid our military more. Made it more worth the fighting. These men deserves millions for their bravery. They didn’t ask to fight that war, but without volunteers, everyone would get drafted.
There's no pay scale for valor or honor. You either have it inside you, or you don't. Nobody ever jumped on a grenade for a million dollars, but many have just to save their brothers.
@@SGobuck they should still be paid on their bravery they should definitely make more than just 30,000 a year sure it's text free but I just don't think all these celebrities and athletes deserve millions and millions.
My first year in the Army was in 1993. I served under the last of the 25 year Vietnam guys. I was lucky to help retire out 2 MOH guys. One was very humble and did not like the attention. The other guy was a complete asshole and made sure you knew he earned it and treated everyone around him like shit. Was banned from making speeches. Nice video.
Any celebrity that refuses to stand for the anthem and flag needs to go to a country like Afghanistan where there are tali and for a week.. I am canadian and salute this man for his bravery.
little flat for sure, but thems are the breaks of a live performance. Keep on playing like you nailed every note. Me Miss a note? impossible. This CMH story like so many others show the depth of love not hate , what people will do for each other, not necessarily against others.
I just watched the Medal of Honor episode and it was crazy. But I noticed in the picture at the end Michelle Obama was standing in front of Barack. Is it just me or is that out of order
Soooo sad. This is why I will never ever kneel to our anthem or our flag. Ever. Standing tall with my hand on my heart will be how I will respond d. Only.
Anyone else notice when Obama, the muslim President, smiled when they read off from the citation for the MOH that the generator Clint Romesha was firing from was hit by an RPG to stop his counter attack?
who's here after The Outpost movie. Truly Inspired.
Guilty your honour
Inspired and shook. We truly take our daily lives for granted.
Oh yeah, Romesha had his stuff wired tight and knew what to do. A Real Soldier!

Amazingly well done movie. Facts checked out really well. Director did a fantastic job portraying the reality.

the pain so visible on his face is heartbreaking. He is reliving that day.
May God bless former SSgt. Romesha, his former unit, and all of our soldiers.
One of my instructors at whiskey phase at AIT was there at Keating. Matter of fact, he’s one of those present at the ceremony.
