in your second example that's Nick Foligno making that pass - it cannot be understated how important Taylor Hall, Corey Perry and Nick Foligno are going to be for his development both on and off the ice - this is a veteran play made by Foligno and it's enhancing Bedard's sense of what can happen on the ice - truly a beautiful thing - Habs fan here just for perspective ;)

I really like the coaching staff for the hawks and how they are developing the youth. They also have a 19 year old defencemen Kevin Korchinski who is stepping up on the blue line.
no1 center/face of the franchise and a D-man looking like he will be in the top pair sooner than later playing serious min. That is 2 big pieces for an up and coming team.
I am eager to see the growth this season
And then what will happen when yet another injection of gifted rookies join next season. At least 2 centers/forwards in the big 10 could have moved up and joined this year but decided to grow a little more and try to win the NCAA tourney.

I've never wanted someone to succeed more in the NHL than this kid right here. The amount of hate he gets is appalling human behavior. I hope he continues to prove a point to every a-hole who doesn't believe in him the way he believes in himself. Good work Bedard!

It would make sense if the kid was a cocky little douche off the ice in interviews, but he's not. Shane Wright came off that way leading up to the '22 draft, it's how Matthew Tkachuk sounds every time he's interviewed. This kid literally has the EXACT opposite demeanor and couldn't be any more respectful yet you have all these boomer hockey fans who are longing for the Tie Domi days to come back who wish all this negativity on him. Glad he's thriving, the game needs it.

But looking at all of these clips and seeing just how many great chances Bedard single-handedly creates that don't end up as a goal. Once some of the young guys progress a bit more, and when we get some other talent around him... Bedard is going to be even more of a monster.

2: I don’t think enough people realize how deadly Bedard is going to get once he hits 23-24 years old. He’s still basically a kid right now but when he starts getting that extra muscle as a full grown adult my goodness he’s just going to be an unstoppable force out there! You can see him trying to push really difficult plays even now but he’s just barely lacking that pure strength needed. I really think he can challenge McDavid for being the best in the NHL once he’s reached that final growth needed!

Bedard "sees" the ice like few other hockey players. This is amazing for a hockey player his age. He sure is fun to watch.

The Blackhawks have some more takent in the pipeline. Oliver Moore, Frank Nazar, some big defensemen. They should be pretty competitive in a few years.

    • @nelspaulson3099
      @nelspaulson3099 Рік тому +1

They have Kevin Korchinski.. a 19 year old playing D very well. If Bedard wasn't getting so much press I think a rookie playing D that well would be making more of a splash. Some of it is already out of the pipeline.
I have hope this coaching staff will teach them right.

@nelspaulson3099 Yeah, he skates real well, has a good skill set, and great instincts. Needs to fill out his frame a bit. He's a good one.

  • @sphenopalatineganglioneuralgia

The playmaking is honestly what I liked best about Hughes' game. Hope to see Bedard pick it up too.
I'd like to see you do a breakdown on the NJD and their passing this season--it's out of control. Their setups in the Offensive zone are reminiscent of the Bruins Bergeron-Marchand-Pastrnak line. You should do an episode comparing the two! Would be fun to see.

I'll say... That wrister and snap shot will be terrifying goalies for decade plus. The kid reminds me of Mario Lemieux SO much. Great shot, great vision. Not the same size ofc, but he's still very similar in how he shoots and sees the ice.
He still needs to learn how to play off the puck perfectly and he's gonna be annihilating defenses and goalies left and right.
AND if he continues to pickpocket pucks like he does now, he could be a very real Selke candidate at some point.

this is what scares me about Bedard. To be honest, I thought he might've been over-hyped coming in, and he doesn't have the size, first few games he seems to be outmuscled often, lot of things not going his way, I was concern about his attitude, etc ... but, there's something about him, I don't know what it is (steely resolve? I don't know, but there's something), and that he's only scratching the surface, kinda feeling the water, and that he's going to get better and better, and that's a scary thing if you're the opposing team.
I'm not on the Bedard bandwagon ... but there's something about him that says he's only going to get better.

Wow. Dude is so relaxed. Everything looks effortless. Just gonna spin over here, and pass over there, and receive a pass here, then shoot and score here...
It's like Looney Toons of years gone by, in that, if you slowed down the footage it would show him stopping at the vending area to grab a drink and a hotdog, go outside for a smoke break, wind his watch, make a phone call for a dental appointment, and bend down and re-tie his laces, then back to normal speed as he shoots the goal.

Meanwhile Tim stutzle and his short little stick is falling all over the ice and getting bent over from any form of contact. But yet people want to talk bout how good he is. How many games do I have to watch to say we need a real difference maker for him to actually be one? and Josh Norris almost $8M Jesus man ottawa is done
