Szerelmes vagyok Mozart ezen operájába! In Hungary, in BUDAPEST, will be Don Giovanni!!! 2021.09.04.
Művészetek Palotája (MÜPA) !!!!
I don't think I've heard a voice age has been kinder to than Edita Gruberova. She still sounds great. Hampson and Furlanetto sound phenomenal together whenever they're in sync. Makes me really, really want to get to the Met for Boccanegra this season.
Unfathomably Brilliant!
fantastic!
This is terrific.
BRAVISSIMO!!!!
I love the picture around 2.50. Taken from the back. Everyone is about the same height and then Thomas Hampson is heads above the rest.
This is a wonderful combo of voices!
Don Giovanni is the essence of our world.
I can never quite decide which of the three operas is the greatest. In a way, I hear them as one work.
Самая лучшая опера в мире это Дон Жуан Моцарта!
which three?
the best video on youtube
many thanks all them !!

Lo stacco della stretta è perfetto!
I like the sight with the orchestra which looks like waves ( about 2.20)
Mozart can be compared to noone. Thank you for posting.
This is only a recital so it does not showcase Feruccio Furlanetto as Leporello's talent well enough to do him justice, I have seen him in this role live twice, and recorded from a live Met broadcast, and in the film which pairs him with Ramey. That was an amazingly felicitous pairing, these two supremely talented performers had a real chemistry singing and acting which seemed to fuel each other's performance, as though they really loved working together. I have never seen the like since.
you are absolutely right, I saw them together in Salzburg in 1991-, with R. Muti conducting--experiencing this performance changed my life, and no, i am not exaggerating.

Ildiko, I love you !
I still have a crush on Hampson and I'm 43.
muy bien me gusta
Well, everything's wonderful but, is't it awesome from 0:37 to 0:50? How could Mozart make it seem so easy? Someone could tell me: "No! That's really easy!" Well, show me just one work of any other musician with a change from one part to other so melodious, so natural! It's great! By the way, this Mehta's version is overwhelming!
mozart dwarfs all musicians. the mount everest of melody
grandios
Oh.
I like sights of the orchestra which looks like waves ( like 2mn 12)
GRAN OPERA
3:37 - 3:41
wunderful Edita !
it makes me drunken
Edita Gruberova reminds of the lady in Murder she Wrote..I forget her name...Mrs Potts
Thomas Hampson is not singing anymore, he tends to shout more or less. Furlanetto: never forget he was KARAJAN'S Leporello 20 years ago. The lesson lives on. The rest is tolerable. We are quite far from the ideal Don Giovanni. The only positive note: the Vienna Philharmonic. They play everything as if they were playing scrabble or drinking a glass of water. Hampson is however definitely overrated. No problem: he was like than 15 years ago so no doubt today he might be even worse
5:52 to 6:23 KILLS ME!!!!!
What do you mean by Wagnerian?
Do they finally work it out?? :O "blahablahabalahaabkl!" lol...
@roguegirl29 Italien!!!
ma il tempo dei cantanti? °_°
That's not French. It's either Italian or German.
Is Hampson off his form, or is he trying too hard to match the size of voice that is the great Furlanetto? He sounds a bit hoarse.
I think you hit the point!
That's no singing anymore but shouting (viva la liberta) - really annoying.
However Furlanetto stunning as usual and Ildiko great as well.
I like Furlanetto as Leporello. Hampson is too wagnerian to my taste.
This vid has nothing to do with hot girls.
