dont do it. the natural spring of bat wood will be finished and you end up cracking or losing your bat. Also dont use excessive linseed oil since half tea spoon..

Sir it is not color , it's varnish simply transparent. U need to apply minimum 3 coats to see the best results .
If u want to color blue,red or anything else then the procedure is different
