- Going Medieval is a colony management survival game that takes place in England during the Dark Ages. Do we have what it takes to establish a settlement that can survive the ravages of a war torn landscape? Probably not, but let's find out!
Tip for farming. Set one row (or 10% ish) of each item to "go to seed" and have the rest as full harvest, that way you keep a safe stockpile of seeds in the background in case of crop loss. Do half as go to seed on your first harvest. This system got me through the entire game last playthrough.
I played Going Medieval quite a lot when it first came out, and thought I'd fire it up and play again. Realised I'd forgotten everything about how to play the game, lol, so found your videos!
Such a good little game.
Glad you found your way here! It's a good one to come back to every month or so since they usually have a new feature or two on the experimental build.
Same here 😂.
Another great series for me to Binge-Watch 👍👍💖🌟
I have 1,435 Hours in Going Medieval, if you need help, or Tips to share with New Players 💖
Yeah I see that you've made the classic fatal error right from the start - you have more than one entrance into your enclosure and only a single door on either. Eliminate that end entrance and build out an entrance passageway kill zone in front of the one in the long side, with 4 doors one after the other they have to break through. If you build out 3 more blocks beyond that, floor over that end section and merlon around then you'll be able to shoot attackers in the back as they assault your doors.
Attackers will ignore areas where there are no doors to get in. The more doors there are to get into your base enclosure them more your defenders will get overwhelmed. One entrance to your enclosure only and with at least 4 doors one after the other that they have to try to break through while your archers shoot at them from above. Double doors look good but they'll get your defenders dead very quickly.
Yup, you nailed it for sure. 👍👍💖🌟
