I'm still using it now. I've been using it for 2 years now, to be honest with you, the phone is good. The only bad thing about it is the front camera, 1st gen touch ID that can get pretty slow and the battery life. Other than that, I could say that the phone can hold itself pretty well. The only reason I'm sticking to it, is because I am waiting for Apple to release another small phone because my hands are really small so it's hard for me to handle big sized smartphones and they did last year with the iPhone 12 mini. Can't wait to upgrade soon :D!
This is my current phone and it does hold up well on iOS 14 and in 2021. It probably won't get iOS 15 though as Apple will probably want to get people to transition over to newer phones such as the SE 2nd gen.
@@rameezkhalid5241 I saw a deal on a refurbished iPhone XS so went ahead and made the switch. It's a bigger phone than I wanted but I'll probably get used to it. It's marginally larger than the SE 2020 which was the other choice but I also wasn't too keen on the new SE because of the older design recycle.
Watching on my iphone se 2016 32gb. So satisfied with it. And i love the size. Really do. Capable reliable little performer. I feel manufacturers arent deliberate in making phones that last anymore. These old phones seem to be stronger somehow
Sweet vid! Switching back to this from a XS until the SE loses software support because I simply have a more enjoyable experience with the smaller size. Subbed :)
Watching from a SE 2016 64 gb battery changed condition 100%, iOS 14.3 working smoothly better than my Redmi Note 6 Pro, the size it’s awesome for me, take it anywhere I want it and almost not realizing i carry the phone with me.
I’ve got a 64 gb one too even though I’m using only around 30 and I think a lot of people don’t know this but solid state drives are way faster when I think a third or so is not used. I think it has to do with garbage collection or something like that.
My iphone 12 got bricked a month after purchasing. The closest Apple store is next to my country and the warranty process took 45 days. Thus I'm getting original SE in the meantime.
I sold my iPhone 11 Pro max 256gb 3 months ago for $780 knowing I was going to upgrade to the iPhone 13(I like to upgrade every two years on the S version you end up getting max equity when you sell it 3 months out). I purchased a 1st gen iPhone SE for $50 and I actually like it. I might end up getting a Mini 13. I mean, I have an iPad Pro. I like that I'm off my phone more and I use my Apple Watch more as well now.
Just becarefull when you pull the old battery and remember to heat the back of body to loosen the battery double sided tape. I just change the battery by myself and seems everything perfect
I got a 16gb one as a second phone. I also own the SE 2020, but I prefer the size of the original SE better. I hope they make a new one smaller than the iPhone 12 mini.
apple will usually support their hardware as long as it makes sense. considering the SE from 2016 has 2GB ram and a very capable A9 processor even for today standards, it's gonna be supported for as long as they will support iphone 6s, 7 and 8. There is absolutely no reason for apple to stop supporting the 6s and SE. Probably the 2gb ram will be next limitation and all of the models with 2gb ram will be unsupported at the same time. My bets are ios 16 will still have the same support, even for the iphone 6s and SE whats also worth mentioning, the battery on the SE is very easy to replace, my 128gb phone works better than when it was brand new with an improved 2000mah battery from polarcell it is the best phone ever made!
I got the IPhone 12 mini and 2 weeks later switched my SIM card back to my SE. lol I’m sure I’ll be using this little champion until it literally flat lines and I have to bury it in the yard.

Easy to change the batteries on the iPhones until 6s because I don’t have to worry about waterproofing. I mean u can pretty easy change the batteries on newer iPhones too but u might lose waterproofing. Keep that in mind. But iPhone are fairly easy to work on.

I had huge fragments in storage.
However 15.0.2 works sooo much better and I have free space again.
Using iPhone SE is one which was launched in 2016. Cannot accept the 2020 model as iPhone SE (2nd Edition). Perhaps, can be considered as iPhone 9.
