I just want to know youre not alone! I had the EXACT same experience in high school. A 'close friend' of mine would emotionally abuse me with verbal insults and give me the silent treatment. And it's resulted in a lot of perfectionist, people pleasing behaviour that I;ve been trying to overcome. I'm really trying to work on my ability to handle confrontations without freaking out, setting boundaries in real time and not going down the rabbit hole of self doubt and changing who I am to appease others. What have you found has worked for you?
Thank you for your comment! I'm coming back to my channel after a bit of a mental health break, so apologies for the delayed response! I have tried to set clear boundaries in my friendships/ work relationships and clear ground rules in my romantic relationships, and communicating with someone directly when I feel some type of way about something they've said or done, so we can discuss it rather than the anxiety mounting!
Always here for goodwill hunting moment!! Thank you mate - there are times were I still overanylse what went down and what part I had to play in it, but your absolutely right. That's the advice I'd give someone else too 💞 Thanks for the support mate xxxx
I've got the answer for you - you played zero part haha. Coz there's nothing you could do to deserve inhumane treatment. But I know it's so easy to advice other people haha. Lots of love xxx
