The attention to detail, tolerances, patience.. wow. Ole dude knows how to build a tight motor!
Hey Brett, First I wanted to thank you all at the shop for a truly beautiful video. Second, as a young guy that's been aggressive about getting into school for High Perfomance Engines I wanted to take the time to let you know how inspired I am watching this. Being a Tech, Single Father, with no help, can be hard, but the movement I felt, reminded me of why I'm doing what I do & that I will not quit no matter how hard it gets, or stop until I get to where I want to be. So again, thanks to you & your boys for showing how far pride can take you & that you keep doing what you're doing.
I love the details...just can't handle the cuts every 10 seconds
This is the most beautiful build I’ve ever seen!
What a skill to have, I'm truly inspired.
Dude, excellent work man. You make me proud to own an MPS. I love my car, more than a human...
Amazing, so much care and attention to detail, not to mention high quality products. Want that engine!!!
Ill let Vinny know you said so! He takes pride in his work for sure
Hey nice meeting you Vinny at the California mazdaspeed day at willow springs!
Not gonna lie, I’ve watched this video 3 or 4 times now lol
Great video, watching the work was pretty damn mesmerizing. Can't wait for the new Mazda 3 turbo kit coming out as well.
didnt even realize your brett from corksport, thanks for the drawing of my speed 6!!
I appreciate that video man... it helped me to reset my timing belt after I f it up
Awesome work. It is truly a work of art. Wish you could rebuild mine.
This guy certainly knows what's he is doing.Very meticulous 👍😃
That is art. True professional at work. Subbed!
the best content ever. period.
Nice work!
Have to say that is a work of art great work.
You have talent bro ,Great job and video man well done.
You need more videos like this ASAP. This is quality work. The engine and video
Nothing like blueprint builds
Engine building like this is an art form. everything about this video is extremely satisfying. It's one of my goals to have a fully build MZR engine.
This is perfection
Love the video bro super sick 👌👌👌
Such a piece of art work this truly is. You know when watching a someone put a motor together makes you emotional that they have done a brilliant job. I want to thankyou for making such amazing build video. Great work and great soundtrack as well!
Wow this is impressive
It's so beautiful 😭
Frick'n Sweet Bro!!! Luv it, now it's gonna get good and dirty! oh yeah.... (:
Very cool video thanks for sharing. I have a few questions, what is the expected power ratings for this build in hp & tq? Is this a Dankai build? what is the difference with the Dankai 1 and Dankai 2? Thanks. Perfect engine building music by the way.
Where did you get the sheer of paper for a breakdown of your tolerances? Thats a great idea could you recommend where to find a paper like that? Thank you for the video
what are the parts you used to do the rebuild, i have to rebuild mine.but dont know what to buy, like a good brand?
corksport have a rebuild kit?
Awsome job man! I live in South Florida any recommendations for a engine rebuilt on a speed 3 shop down here?
Brett I need some help. I'm Doing a 2.5l duratec swap, and ring gap is bothering me. I am installing Molnnar rods with the stock pistons. My question if you have time is...Should I regap the rings to .20 top and .024 bottom? Or is the stock 2.5l gap ok? I will be running 17 to 20 ild of boost. I have looked for the answer all over. Thank you for any information you have time to share.
Amazing video! Love it...im about to tackle this project myself in the next few weeks. I have a few queations can you help please?
I see that your vvt actuator is stamped FoMoCo. Can i have that part number please? I work for ford im wondering what parts i can use or cant use thanks!
Very nice 👌
Is this a 2.5? what's the purple shield in the oil pan? custom baffle?
Will you do builds for people who are running corksport turbos?
Hi..
Good night..
I'm thinking about doing a little upgrade to a 2005 Mazda 6...
I'd like to know how thick are the cylinder walls...?
Thinking about boring out the cylinder to .0080
Is there a place you found all that paper work and printed out, Im currently rebuilding this engine and that would be helpful af
hello I have a question about the kind of valves you got and where and possibly if you know the dimensions, Partsology provides a much more affordable option and im trying to figure out if its safe.
awesome build mate ....whats the engine code for the mps again?......i think its mzr something ?????
Can you please tell me the size of the engine stand bolts I can't seem to find the right ones
awesome!!
yo great build :) I wonder if this build would be cool on my 2009 ford fusion see 2.3
Awesome video music ahh
Dude excellent fuckin work man 👏👏👏👏
To have an engine that clean to work on... Just pulled the head off my ms6, and I can't tell you the load of oil and grime on that thing. Discovered the timing was off quite a bit, and my exhaust valve in cylinder 2 was missing a pretty large chunk! Ugh.
Why did he mark the timing chain cover and cam shaft bolts like that?
Very cool engine, Question why didn't you set the Cam Sprocket and VVT Actuator correctly ?
Question how come you guys don’t have the piece ( don’t know what’s call ) the has a gear the connects to the crankshaft ???
Like these mzr engines they make so much wide band torque.
Hey I mixed up all my valve caps, any suggestions on how to go about on finding it correct place of each one? Thanks
You’ll just have to put them in an measure them.
From there you can put the measurements into the CorkSport excel sheet and it will tell you the proper bucket number for each one and that can get you what you’re needing to know
Damn this is the best build vid I've ever seen. How much power is this good for?
i like this engine, coolant holes are similar to a 2jz engine.
this shit is beautiful
how long did this take for a full rebuild
Clean👌
Any chance of a future Dyno once build and mods are done? Nice vid by the way.
S Walkr baretts car is mixed out at 440 whp at the moment. Bigger turbo will push it further :)
Would you happen to know which engine code came in a 2010 mazda 3 S 2.5L? I cant find any stamping on my engine and need to get a replacement engine.
It is not stamped as far as I know it is a white sticker on the flywheel side when you take off the transmission
And then on the back side of the engine on the same flywheel side there is a flat spot with numbers stamped in but you need to take like a wire wheel to it to see
@@johnfarias7230 Thanks, I'm going to inspect these areas more thoroughly to find the code.
hello, this manley h beam rod suitable boost how many psi
I find myself back here after 4 years
I remember what this video did to me had to copy everything he did the engine lasted 20,000 miles before I sold the car and here I am again about to do it over
I'm Currently doing a rebuild myself and I was wondering why you mark some oof your bolts with a white marker?
Yah that is super important it’s for the final tightness of the torque specs for the studs / bolts
I had just pulled down my engine replace the timing belt bit now the car won't keep up I keep revving the engine but after all that it just shuts off completely. Any assistance?
Check your MAF sensor, and check for vacuum leaks
Nice
I have question about the head:
IS this some kind of special performance head, or it's stock machine worked head? ported etc.? or mybe It's just made to shine?
Gedas alekveravičius it's a ported OEM head
Brett at CorkSport that's what I thought
Where is this shop
Some bolt torque spec and explanations would of bin great 😊
Hey Brett White, love the vid and glad to see how nice the block and heads are from the factory. I do want to ask, did I miss you guys putting lube on the main bearings and cylinder walls or did you guys not have to do that for some reason? Also, was that royal purple you were using? Is that the best stuff or is there something else you found that works better? Also, how much were all those parts and how aggressive will those cams be? Too aggressive for street driving? And lastly, what is the best break in process after rebuilding these engines and tuning them? I've always been nervous about taking it on the dyno after a break in period and everything blowing up when your on the dyno trying to tune it.
We definitely did put assembly lube on the main bearings. If I missed it in the video it was probably because I was going to the bathroom or something LOL.
The cams are designed for anything from street driving to built motors making high hp. They're the definition of no compromises, just like the TB. Any assembly lube really works great. The Royal Purple is just an example.
And we have a blog written up for break in procedure. Ill link it here: corksport.com/blog/winter-projects-update/
Give me a call at CS or shoot me and email. 360 260 2675 ext. 106. Or Brett@Corksport.com
Brett White awesome thanks man! Will hold on to that info
Wonderful build! The attention to detail is inspiration and let's give it up to the filming!!
Would have loved it more without the music though!
what's the toothed gear section half way up the crank, what's it drive?
Thats for the balance shaft
Could we get a complete parts listing like head studs and bearings
Manley Platinum Pistons
Manley H beams
ARP L19s
King Racing Bearings (Mains and rods I believe)
If you want it more in detail, shoot me an email @ Brett@Corksport.com
Appears to have a Massive Speed oil pan baffle and probably matching balance shaft delete kit.
@@brettwhite08 I'm looking to rebuild mine with better internals, my question is, how much does it cost to machine the 2.3 disi motor?
what kind of track
Nice music
Im getting a b1202 code on my 08 speed. Can anyone help me out. Ive replaced the fuel pressure sensor, fuel pump and filter. Help!
can i have links to the parts?
Do you have a spec sheet? Parts torque cleance exc..
I haven’t been with CorkSport for a while and the sheets we used aren’t around anymore sadly. But usually the pistons and components you’re using will have their recommended specs
Why did yall stop rebuilding?
Nice build! How much would that job cost? I have the same car/engine.. And really want it all rebuilt like that!
To pay someone to do it including parts? Jeezus. No cheaper than 2 grand, and for a professional job prob upwards of 3 grand
Nice to see someone else that uses copper coat
Whats the absolute max horsepower a stock MZR Mazdaspeed engine can withstand before you run into problems. In other words, whats the most power should a person push on they’re stock 2.3 MZR. Before running into engine problems. Like cracking a piston, block bending a rods damaging other internal parts
220kws or 300hp on 98 octane. e50+ blend and meth is good for up to 270kws/360hp depending on motor health.
How much of budget?
how can I hire u for my engine ?
what was the cost ?
Is it me or do all mechanics have the same taste in music 😂 This is the exact same music genre that car mechanic simulator uses
Is this the same engine of the Ford focus rs ?
No it's not. The Ford is an open deck
Gread job dude anyway whats name sond from 3:30 to 6:50 ?
Sorry for the late reply. Its sleep walker by Illenium
Thanks ;)
What ring gaps and p2w clearance?
All varies depending on what the customer is planning to use the car for. I could figure out the specifics on this one if you care to know
a question why my mazda skips engine time
If only I could have had this done with my 6 MPS lol
at 9:33 the block has a Ford Motor Company tag on it?
The engines are produced by ford. The MZR is a revised duratec motor
Brett White ah ok thanks man
ok good
Tengo un mazda 3 año 2006, cuanto cuesta hacer ese trabajo?
How much to get one built by y'all
Check it out on the website, we have two different stages.
Yo where you from my dude, we need to colab
Is this going to NA or boosted?
This is a boosted engine :)
still running keyless crank?
Yeah, keying isn't too common. Or necessary for that matter
What's the status? How much is it pushing?
At the moment hes about 470 whp on the turbo he's testing currently. Out of fuel at the moment
Can i have the engine torques to rebiuld my motor
Literally online.... google.... takes you 10 seconds to search
Hi Brett
👍🏻👌
How much horses does this engine have now?
Its made about 640 recently on one of our prototype big turbos
@@brettwhite08 thats alot though,
We had an blue mazda 6 2.3 SV-T its the same engine without turbos
That already made 166 horses without chip.
very fast car because of the variable camshaft.
Nice video enjoyed watching it
