5 minutes... It took me 5 minutes WITHOUT an electric drill. I used the screwdriver and Hammer tap trick to assist me. However, I tapped the screwdriver all the way through the wall. It made getting the anchor bits through so much easier. I adore you. Thank you so much for your help!!!
THANK YOU!!! Yours is the best video. Showed me the parts and took me up close and personal. No other video compared. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
+bmwnasher Thank you. Drywall beats plaster and lath hands down. In America it is the predominant interior wall material. I used to do drywall contructions work and it is not easy work. Taping and mudding is not much fun and the men I worked with made it look like child's play but it certainly not an easy skill to master. Then the last and most dreaded task in drywall installation, sanding. The end result is durable and easy to maintain. Until a viable laternative comes along it's the best we have. If I had a preference in building material it would be concrete, lol. Thanks for watching.
Richard Lloyd We have what is called traditional build, brick outside breeze block inside with a cavity and plastered, but we do have a lot of drywall now, especially in apartments.
+bmwnasher Drywall is just an easier and cheaper alternative to any other interior building material but I think the old houses are actually stronger than the current building methods. As the old saying goes,"They don't build them like they used to.".
First time installing a towel ring by myself, a woman, and your video worked perfectly for me. Thank you! 🤗
