I've had a new set of towel bars in the cabinet for probably 6 months now because it looked hard to install. This video makes it simple so maybe I'll give it a try tonight.
Bought the delta porter double towel bar. If you notice in the vid he slides the ends over the brackets. The brackets are bad design. If you lift up on the bars the bracket come apart since they are not locked in place. Designed in China. Going back.
The brackets for the towel bar you installed are not like the brackets for mine. The cups that hold the bars i have keep coming off. I guess I have to look for the type you used.
Figured out what was wrong with the Seton Aquasource towel bar instructions...the wall mounting plate is shown backwards! This is a basic drafting error that my old prof would say that the perpetrator should be shot and pi$$ed on! So, now I have a nice brass towel bar that won't come loose from the wall...but if you see one in the discount bin don't buy it unless you want a lot of headaches installing it via their instructions...
I have the wall brackets with two male fingers that slipover and then down inside the end that have the female slots. But after pushing down on both ends of the towel holders they do not lock in place. As a result the whole assembly looks good but any upward pressure causes the whole assembly to easily lift off the mounting hardware. Makes this unusable. Going back to Home Depot and if they cannot come up with a fix I'll return everything and get another brand.
My towel rod needs to be installed on a wall into which a pocket door slides. All the screws I try using are so long that they would scratch the door as it is used.
Total bullshit. Our house is 6 yrs old. 1 bracket fell before the builders changed their names, so they fixed it . 2 more came off the wall after ICON disappeared near Atlanta. Those little rubber gizmos will not even hold up a little hand towel for a few months unless there are only 1 person per house. For an average family, forget about it. . Use serious stuff unless you want to fix it yourself every few months.

Thanks Keith for watching.
great video thank you
Can i put the bracket horizantally and not vertical ?
You could, but you would have install the towel bar vertically and I don't think this towel bar is heavy duty enough to act as a grab bar.

please advise the brand, the delta towel bars I bought have the worst brackets I've ever seen.
Towel bar in the video is a Delta 24" Greenwich model.
Useful.
Thanks Sunny for watching.
I got this !!

What finish is your paint? Did you use a texture spray beneath it?
+mike menard
Satin finish on the paint. I didn't use texture spray.
Thank you.
