After a long time of trying to make episodes with a story it hasn't come out very successful. I still decided to put together some encounters for a video. I miss the old days of DayZ Mod. More Vanilla, more friendly players, interactions and so on.
Well for sure I will still be playing DayZ Mod and I will be recording, if some goodies come across I will definitely post them.

I had a good vanilla orientated server running but just got busy so I never finished it and shut it down. Had a few regular players on it and it was good to come back to the game for a while.
start it up again, i will join it
maybe a lot of people would, I’d definitely go and play there
i just downloaded the mod again yesterday, lets get this server going :D im down to spend 100's of hours

Many play without the shadows, they always see you when you are near or under the trees 🙄
aswell as they don’t use all trees and grass settings so they can see much more anyway. I just prefer to have the game look good.

one of my all time favourite games but unfortunately servers for oce are just dead and none
yup, I was gonna get on back to recording, check couple last evenings and there is nothing to play. Theres genesis but people drive around with tanks etc so takes fun out of it. No population at all on other servers. 😞

You are welcome to try TLF Frost Survival. Not many players yet, but I think you might like the setting and the hard survival :)
Lots of stuff is done to improve the map. Many poi:s are added. Unique scripts, missions, traders, toxic zones, sector B, hard survival.
Hello, so you are saying there is a server without every second player owning a heli or a tank blowing everyone they see? camp outside traders with vehicles? don’t kill you kilometres away with a thermal on tank?

Absolutely yes, we even got players doing missions together even though it's pvp, but the player base are a bit shaky. We need more players.

Friendly tip: if the server has a trader, it's no longer DayZ.
It's not how people remember the game. You might want to avoid that.
Thanks dude, it’s understandable. Hardly to find any good servers anymore at all. I have thought of making my own server at some point without traders or silly missions etc

@@Godl1ked Fighting over airdrops and ai loot missions is a big part of what made dayz one the biggest mods to exist and get its own standalone, theres a reason Epoch and Overpoch were the most popular mods.
Exactly. The game is much more interesting without traders. I am definitely making that happen on one of the servers I am currently working on :)

Hey, at the time of recording it was R5 3600 with RTX 2060 Super, 16GB DDR4 3200mhz ram. Game is running on M.2 drive same as OS.
Since then I have upgraded to R7 3700x, yet to try and play DayZ mod, maybe will have better performance since if I remember right, ArmA 2 favours high single core performance and new cpu should have advantage over the old one. Any more questions, let me know.

+1 would like to see a epoch without vehicles that can kill you from 4000m away with thermal i think it would bring quite a few people back to the game just needs some advertisement

Try the TLF server for hard survival PVP and no crazy vehicles :) We need more players.

I was sprinting away knowing he might be just 3rd person looking around the door. Yeah, I didnt zig zag which I dont think would’ve helped there. I dont remember but either I accidentally or intentionally changed my weapon. The animation halted the character and didnt let me do anything, if that wasnt the case, might have survived.
Are you hopping on Dayz mod Europa server for the wipe? Bases are back
I did hop on couple times, it was boring because barely populated
@@absoluutz It was populated for a bit after the wipe, but it seems like it has died because it was hard to maintain a base with the new changes they made.
i cant get the right mods installed to join it sucks
Sorry for late reply, on DAYZ LAUNCHER go to mods tab and install whichever is required on the server you want to play (Epoch, Overpoch etc.)

2 different things
its DayZ Mod for ArmA , it can be any of them. In general terms its DayZ Mod. If you go in details, yes Epoch.
is there any servers with decent pop? if so are there any servers with decent pop without tanks etc and more like overpoch from ccg servers
there are now and then but server wise, as far as I’m aware, theres none decent to play. The ones I play last time I was on there was tanks, helis and planes. Its annoying, I would be playing and recording more if there was a decent server to play.

Fill up the TLF Frost Survival with people. It is going for the old school feel, but also has loads of map mods, unique scripts for cooking, building and crafting, unique static missions, toxic zones, sector b, hard survival and weather. The Genesis people thought is was too hard, since they were used to tanks and shit :D
