Personally, I love the fact that there won't be a Convention, but rather a Webinar for everyone. The past 2 Conventions were just a premium Webinar, so the Convention experience has not been the same since 2019. If they continue doing online events, then I think it is much better to include everyone. No need to pay for a ticket if we are not getting the same experience: call it dinning, in person activites, etc.
Totally agree! Looking forward on how they handle this special "event" this year. They definitely should not charge a premium for a webinar. I'm hoping for a situation similar to Dolly Days. And when it's safer and feasible, an in-person convention would be nice. -Sang
I'm *very* happy about this year's convention changes. My biggest issue with a digital convention is that it's so, so financially beneficial to attend and resell anything you can get your hands on at a huge markup. I feel like that's somewhat more reasonable with an in person convention, where you have a lot of expenses associated with attending. With the digital convention, it felt like the people who got "tickets" were basically handed free money. I also don't feel like limiting attendance really makes a lot of sense when there are no spatial constraints. I'd prefer an in person convention, but if they do more digital conventions going forward, they should *always* try to get a few dolls to everyone instead of all of the dolls to a few people. Honestly, I feel like a number of the changes to convention and to The W Club are subtly to combat scalpers. With the coupons, there was a huge financial incentive to get a million memberships, because selling one desirable lottery doll at a significant profit basically paid for all of the memberships. Without the coupons, it's much more expensive to buy ten memberships. A lot of collectors are pretty frustrated that with more limited dolls, a huge, huge proportion end up on eBay at wildly inflated prices, and that takes *all* of the fun out of lotteries. I'm not adverse to collectors having ten memberships because they want to get their hands on every doll. I'm absolutely disgusted by people who buy ten memberships so they can make money off of other collectors. Half the fun of collecting anything is the sense of community, and people scalping dolls have trashed that. IT knows that that sense of community keeps a lot of people collecting. *(I've said it before and I'll say it again- if you can't afford to collect without ripping off other collectors, stick to $40 Holiday Barbie dolls from Walmart.)*
And realistically, the issue of scalpers affects everyone, even if they don't buy any dolls on the secondary market, and have fifteen memberships so they win every doll they want. The people at Integrity aren't stupid. They know what people pay for these dolls on the secondary market. They know they have a fair bit of wiggle room in terms of price. If we don't want to see higher prices at retail, people need to stop spending $450 on newly released $150 dolls. I personally won't pay more than $50 over retail on any doll that's not at least five years old. It's one thing to pay a premium for an older doll that's become a holy grail. It's another to do so for something that just came out a month ago. I have pretty deep pockets, but I *will not* subsidize someone else's collection.
What continues to disappoint me is the Convention Dolls and various items. If you aren't able to attend the Convention, you don't get a chance to purchase any of the dolls. Sure, you can sometimes find them on EBAY, but you have to refinance your home first to afford them!! The dolls/sets can go from $450-$650 each! Huge price gauging and it's very disappointing for Club Members who really want the dolls.
Yeah, it always been a big debate about convention dolls and their exclusivity. With online conventions, there's even more discussion about how they should be more obtainable since you don't have to travel to receive these dolls. Luckily this year there won't be a traditional convention event so hopefully these dolls are more obtainable. They also need to work on releasing more dolls outside of special events. Despite claiming they were going to focus on that last year, a majority of the dolls ended up as convention dolls. I hope they do a better job addressing that in the future. -Sang
When you buy things from The W Club Forum, neither of us are paying fees and you can PayPal via friends and family without paying an extra percent there. Personally I would comprise my principles just to get “Sizzling in Paris in Paris Poppy Parker” think she’s one of the most beautiful Dolls ever, and I wish they’d make something like her because she sells on eBay for like over $1000 that’s like a mortgage payment dude
Im not signing up this year. Too expensive for me. The worldwide shipping adds to that cost. And the dolls are getting simplier and simplier. Im going to either wait for Vaughn to be back in China so that he can check quality or go up and start buying fashion BJDs.
Totally understandable. It's been a rough two years. It's been very expensive to keep up with their releases. Hopefully things will get better but we don't know. -Sang
I was all for both Agnes and Eden but tax returns are *still* late so I can only get one and I'm leaning towards Eden if only to complete with Lilith But yeah, I've definitely noticed the prices creeping up - like the dolls for the Vanessa/Lukas year were only $125 - and this last year was VERY lean on actual dolls produced so really I think it's covid growth and covid complications clogging things a bit since we're still waiting on things that were supposed to be ready. I'm happy to rejoin but still slightly apprehensive of what this coming club year will bring us
Agreed. I'm probably going to always join the club. But this is the first year were I really had to sit down and think about ordering the upgrade dolls. It also dawn on me that we still are waiting on all of the club exclusives from last year. So I have those dolls to pay for. This increase in price at this time is extra hard on the wallet. I'll really have to consider my purchases more carefully. -Sang
Actually, I don't mind the changes at all. Since I don't purchase multiple memberships and I am selective about the dolls I do purchase, I don't feel that the loss of the coupon is that big a deal. I would not be surprised that the "discount" offered will not be that much. $5 at the most per doll. I love the idea of having the dolls made to order. I don't care about the resell value of the dolls so it does not matter to me how "exclusive the doll is. I only buy what I like, and made to order reduce the stress of buying a doll. I have enough stress already. To me, this is a hobby to help me relax and enjoy life. Lastly, I think it is a good idea not to have a in-person convention this year. Things can still change in terms of Covid so waiting it out this year is wise and a easy choice. Oh, and the upgrade doll this year is truly lackluster. Especially Poppy. But I rarely like any of the upgrade dolls.
I'm the same way. I don't really care about the exclusivity. Yes, it's fun to have a doll that's one of 300 or whatever, but given the choice between having a bunch of low edition dolls and just being able to buy what I want, I'd rather just be able to buy what I want. The people who want to triple their investment on dolls are ruining the collecting community for everyone. If you don't love a doll, leave it for someone who does. Period.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Going to join but skipping the upgrade dolls even though I was tempted to get my first Poppy. Hopefully another member doll will interest me enough for it to be worthwhile.

Poppy boxes are always so nicely designed. Looking forward to seeing Ultra Violet's box. But she isn't scheduled to be ready until the fall so it's a ways off. And yeah, if upgrade dolls are increased by $20, that doesn't look good for the rest of the dolls in the future. -Sang

Personally I love the idea of an online event open to everyone... We'll see how It will turn out this year. I think it is unfair compare a Virtual Convention (with the limitations in productions due to the actual situation) to "in person" past Conventions.. But changing the name and the dynamics of the virtual event can set it by itself and we will have a different approach to it. The price increase definitely hurts my pocket and the way I collect.. But I can say it is happening in all the other doll lines (as the shipping options) so I am really feeling it. About registration.. The dolls were cute... But with a lot of preorders that are coming, and the price increase.. had to consider a lot of thing before deciding on preorder any.. and for now, I only liked Agnes.. but not the dress...So I ended with no upgrade dolls.. (at least for now)..
Thanks for this video. I just joined the W Club a couple of weeks ago although I have been collecting Integrity dolls from the early 2000s. I will say I was quite suprised by the upgrade dolls. My first reaction was 'no' and I was very disappointed. However, I kept thinking about them and they grew on me so I ended up getting all three dolls because I because I never had a Poppy doll before, and also because this is a chance to purchase these dolls for a "reasonable" price (reasonable compared to exorbitant ebay prices).
Toy Chat has other videos explaining more about the W Club from previous years. That’s where I learned a lot last year before I joined. Quite simply, the easiest and overall least expensive way is to join the W Club, which you can only do until this Wednesday, then closed again until next year. When the dolls go on eBay, they generally sell for more than the W Club offerings, although that has changed a bit lately as production numbers have gone up above 1500 for some dolls. Integrity does offer some basic dolls throughout the year to the general public, so you can check the website. These dolls are produced in limited numbers. You’ll have to put more effort into learning about the process and pay more than to buy a mass-market doll like Barbie.
I just signed up and paid for my registration yesterday. The website said I had till five but I was able to sign up at 7. 🤷🏾♀️ so what happens if I was able to sign up after the fact?
OK that happened to me once, and there was no issue whatsoever. However the next time I tried to buy some thing three hours late I was too late. So in the future don’t wait but I think you’re all good
I bought my first integrity doll authorised dealer here Europe for 200 euro with shipping. Unfortunately her whiter dress the collar went turn yellow and the stone in the clothes is already falling off. I was disappointed and try to reach them I just purchased last feb11 I was messaging even their account in Instagram no replies.
M outta IT for exact these reasons. Also, I'm so tired with the paint applications and the face sculpts. Realistic expression and atonomy seems to be beyond IT's skills and, furthermore, their own promises of not too recent communications.

@@jenneyblade864 For a minute I thought I wrote this post lol lol
3:35 which doll is this? She’s gorgeous.
Legendary Status Agnes Von Weiss from 2021 Convention. A small amount were also released in a silver variation which is GORGEOUS.
where do you get easier those amazing dolls?
So in the future don’t wait but I think you’re all good
@@tinaburdo7739 thanks I just got my welcome letter a couple days ago
I bought my first integrity doll authorised dealer here Europe for 200 euro with shipping. Unfortunately her whiter dress the collar went turn yellow and the stone in the clothes is already falling off. I was disappointed and try to reach them I just purchased last feb11 I was messaging even their account in Instagram no replies.
Have You emailed the liaisons. They will help you.
M outta IT for exact these reasons.
Also, I'm so tired with the paint applications and the face sculpts. Realistic expression and atonomy seems to be beyond IT's skills and, furthermore, their own promises of not too recent communications.
