actually India could dedicate resources into developing a DME fuel cell i.e DME as a hydrogen carrier? In this way all vehicles can be fitted with more efficient electric motors and charging infrastructure development should not be an issue since the fuel cell can just be topped up with DME in stations very quickly!

@@sri198507 offcourse there is always problem with e-waste but luckily batteries have some of the rare metals in it and it can be recycled , govt is currently testing its electric plan for future when there will be adequate need for battery recycling many startup will emerge to create new recycling technology or new battery.

From what feedstock will this DME be produced ?
Biomass can through pyrolysis be converted in syngas and this can be converted to methanol and DME. Methanol is interesting too.
