I have owned 2 pairs of these, years apart. Without fail the plastic on the shadowfit heel cup cracks. It still maintains Rigidity for the most part since the kevlar stringer does the heavy lifting, but it def makes them feel cheap. I liked the feel honestly, but have since moved on to other options (and am happy).
Ive got some 21/22 Districts, amazing binding for a party board, especially a slush slasher like I ride. Ive noticed the lack of power a few times, but its probably more of a skill issue than a binding issue. They definitely engage when you want them to.
Soft bindings in this japanese powder makes me tired faster I think. Stiffer gear in soft snow seems to be more enjoyable at my old age.
Own a pair of Districts… love the surfy feel, wish the buckles were metal instead of plastic
Shadowfit isn't for everyone for sure but damn if it wasn't createdjust for me. Holograms for ever... and I'm an old school guy.
How does the district pro compare to the highlander? Is it a lot softer in the highback and are there any other noticeable differences than the highback?
It’s pretty much just the highback
@@AngrySnowboarder And if you go up to the quantum, is it still mostly the highback, or does the carbon in the baseplate make it a lot stiffer?
It's not a lot stiffer.
should I go medium or large in these? I'm a 10.5-11 depending on boot, right on the line between the Salomon size chart.
Depends on the boot.
How much more stiffer are these from the regular Districts?
A little.
Hey angry, decent binding for a beginner all mountain rider?
It’ll work.
The toe straps on these create a bad pressure point on the pinky toe side. It collapsed the toe structure on my boots and would cut off circulation to my pinky toe pretty bad. I’m not a big fan. My wife has the Ride C8’s and I will be switch to those next.
God I thought I was the only on this was happening to, all the reviews are saying how comfortable they are and I'm over here not being able to feel the outside of my feet
If you are still riding these, maybe adjusting the placement left to right, may help your toes , and the way it sits on them. Also if you like them otherwise, Burton sells toe straps at a lot of ski shops if you want to try a different style tow strap. They come with everything in the box haven't tried them on a Solomon. They might fit, but idk
Are they basically the same as the 2024?
Yes
