Authoritative explanation of the chassis extension. You just allayed my fears about dilution of the Toyota reliability and quality by those modifications. I live in Ghana Africa where in the countryside mechanics with the requisite level of competence are few and far between. Longevity and rock solid Toyota reliability is mission critical

need some information . . . incorporating a heavy duty thicker chassis frame in a TOYOTA Land Cruiser 79 GX (UZJ79) 4WD + 2.0 in. Lift 4.5 TDI V8 4-Dr Double Cab Camper Pickup Truck (RHD) without compromising it's torsional rigidity, stiffening & flexibility . . . an exact after market iteration of a LC79 chassis frame featuring a thicker longitudinal C-Section chassis frame member & thicker lateral cross member . . . swapping the stock OEM C-Section ladder frame chassis with a custom made after market C-Section chassis frame that's thicker by mass . . . please advise in terms of viability & whether you would recommend such a modification or not . . . chassis frame thickness is a important element when your buying heavy duty commercial trucks . . .
