With a 4495GVM this 6x6 can still be driven with a standard licence. It has a 2 inch lift, remote res shocks, BA half canopy, BA full tray, Brown Davis 185L rear tank, Brown Davis/Boss 160L under tray tank and a 90L stainless headboard water tank. This 6x6 is an awesome tourer and will be able to take this customer all over this amazing country.

One of the more sensible usable builds out there , obviously , as you build more , the better you get at it and are able to work things out , so many people want the mean look and sacrifice ride and handling aswell as pracitcality . I personally hate dragging trailers of any type around , they are just a pain .

Both the Boss and Patriot 6x6 builds were built and released at the same time in August 2017 at The National 4x4 show in Melbourne.

Definitely a beauty of a rig in every sense. Really Not very practical for work to have drop down sides but no tie down rails though, and he'd be pushing the GVM with a couple passengers and a camper, I understand why you don't want to go over 4.5 though. Definitely purpose built and probably going to suit this guy real well.

for the total cost of this rigg, you can get a vehicle that has more clearance, 12x auto/manual box, far better ride and many more positive attribution

Could just be the angle of the video but that rear pinion angle looks pretty odd?
Hey Nick, the middle diff is a drive through low mount ford 9” pinion and the rear diff is the standard mid pinion Toyota center. Looks a bit funny because the drive through tailshaft has to go from a 0 degree angle from the bottom of diff to a 0 degree angle to the middle of the rear diff. The angles are the same just the tailshaft has to travel vertically to meet the flanges. Hope that makes sense!

Sorry but correct me if I’m wrong .... so you do a chassis extension so as to put more even weight distribution by having an extra 300mm between the cab and first rear wheel but then you extend the tray way past the rear back wheel anywhere 🤷🏻♂️ .... my head hurts 😆
The middle diff remains in the factory position. The rear diff accounts for the extended chassis with standard overhang.
Darcy Russell how would the middle remain in the factory position if you’ve pushed it back 300mm ? Or do you mean it stays in the same position under the tray as factory ?
I didn't hear anything about 300mm extension. I think the first wheels are in the stock position
The middle wheels remain in factory position, as Darcy said the rear set accounts for the extra length. The over hang from the rear wheel back is the standard overhang on a 4x4 79 series.

I don't understand why people feel they need to take so much stuff with them when they travel. The enjoyment is being on the road, free and easy away from your normal life, not taking your house with you! I would rather be in a Jimney with a tent than drive that around.

A ram has a 2m tray. This Toyota has a 2.8m tray. Massive difference. And 6wd will completely blow away 4wd off road.
