Thank you for the list! I enjoy a "shorty" not just in September but all year 'round. If I have two "chunksters" that I plan to tackle, it's a nice change of pace to sandwich a shorty between the chunksters. 🥪
I read Small Things Like These and loved it. Her writing is very beautiful. I ordered Norwood. It sounded great. So many new books. What a great video!
I'm loving how this TBR is full of books I haven't read. By the end of the month a bunch of them will probably end up on my list. I'm thinking that Joyce Carol Oates has been called a lot of things but probably never "hoochie daddy shorts." The Gaitskill book sounds very interesting. Oops, I said "interesting."
I’m taking part in shorty September and have a huge pile of possibilities + I still have buddy reads and a couple group reads going on. Quite accidentally I’m taking part In Shaketember, Scottember, Straya, and Series September also. Reading at least on book for each of those - but I was already reading them this month!😳😱🤯
A lot of really good sounding books there! I put Norwood on my wish list. I might read a couple short books this month (not following prompts), and maybe read some tales from my various fairy tale collections. Thank you for another great video!
😂😂 we also find the Pedro Pascal shorts funny. I keep meaning to read Robin Hobb, but still havent. I loved thay Mary Gaitskill book! Thanks so much for taking part and sharing these books - how is it all going so far?? Sian ❤❤
I have yet to read any Clare Keegan. I need to get on that. Why do people always assume if you like to read you want all of their old books? Glad there were at least a few interesting ones in the bunch!
“I wanted to jump on that train … get it”. 😂. Lots of great books selected for Shorty September. I am like you and will not be reading 1 a day, but will definitely read some this month. I bought the Clare Keegan one too.
Your videos are always so cheerful. What a great way to start my day!
Aw, thanks, Randy!

I tend not to think about breaking up my reading that way, but I think there's a benefit! I may have to make it a more regular thing.
And I loved Grendel!
Oh, good to know! Another vote!

The Keegan is high on my list to read, as is Norwood. 🙂

If JCO will probably name her next novel that! 😂 TBR turnabout is fair play!

Oh, Deea, that is a LOT! 😂 You can do it! Loving your pics from the road. 🙂

Yes, the prompts are just an extra layer...the real fun is short books for a bit!

Slower than I would like! The Mary Gaitskill was the first one I read. She's just so good! I think ALL the shorts should be Pedro Pascal shorts! 😂 ❤️
I enjoyed the Seventh mansion! Its not perfect but i found it really interesting! Siân
I definitely plan to get to that one!

We're the only ones left, Heidi. At least I'm in good company!
“The weirdest bookhaul ever” 😂 - no, it was fun! (What’s the word people use? Eclectic.) Happy reading!
Eclectic indeed! I should do a video on the whole stack. 🙂

I'm looking forward to the Keegan Let me know what you think!
I added Black Water to my list. I like Joyce Carol Oates. And that Portis novel is great; you'll enjoy it. Have you already read Dog of the South?
I have read Dog of the South...loved it. Let me know what you think of Black Water if you get to it!
@@EveningReader I laughed so much during Dog of the South!
