Born and raised in Melbourne. Since my parents and family didn’t have a home team we supported Manly, until we got the news that the Melbourne Storm is on it’s way! Been going to games since ‘98. Melbourne always brought the goods. Another accolade for the city of Melbourne
I reckon down the track after grass roots rugby league has developed some more in Victoria, they should bring another team to Melbourne, would be great for the sport, it would become a massive rivalry, everyone knows that Melbournians love their sport. People would pay to go to a Melbourne Vs Melbourne NRL match.
2000 I became a Melbourne Storm fan ever since..... And will forever be Storm supporter, my wedding theme was Melbourne Storm colour... And I will die a Melbourne Storm..💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜. Possibly move too Melbourne one day....
From our first game to present, we have been dominating. We are the most dominate team since 1998. 15 out of 23 of our previous seasons we finished in the top 4. Out of the other 8, 5 of them we still finished in the top 8. Leaving just 3 seasons where we finished outside the 8. We have won the Premiership an impressive 4 times in these 23 years. We are currently in a great position for another Premiership shot.
@@SilentHotdog28 Because the Bears deserve it more than other Sydney teams do. There are no NRL teams north of the Harbour Bridge in Sydney except Manly, who only serve the Northern Beaches. The bears still are estimated to have over 200,000 fans who stopped following the NRL after they got kicked out. It's really sad they were one of the foundation clubs with South Sydney and Eastern Suburbs but they got a lot of bad luck and bad things done to them when they needed help especially by Manly.

@@SilentHotdog28 that would be better than the expansion in QLD
@@gabbyt98 I do think they should have a another Brisbane side, but also another Melbourne side, a New Zealand side and a Perth or Adelaide side.
@@SilentHotdog28 yeh, win more fans

Having Craig Bellamy kinda shows that the Mark Murray era is long gone despite the fact that Craig inherited Mark’s work
That was an awesome night, awesome result ⚡️STORM ALLDAY⚡️
Jeeeezus those green tarped cyclone fences bring back as many memories as watching the game.
I was there that night .... amazing atmosphere .... up in the main stand .... memories...is it really 22 years ago!
Oh yeah that takes me back. Richard swain still my favourite 9 to play for the storm. Sorry Cam
Makes you appreciate AAMI park. Love the style of rugby played though and beating North Sydney.
Olympic Park has its charm, it may be nostalgia but I rate the atmosphere at The Graveyard than AAMI Park.
GO THE STORM
I was there was a great night.

Bring back the Bears!
Why? No point. There are too many Sydney teams as it is, there shouldn't be more.

That would be right 8( our very first home game and it took them 5min to blow a penalty against us... and it has never ended...
haha that's gold.
I was at that game as a 9 month old baby. According to my parents I was on the big screen being bounced on my Dad's knee at half time
Olympic park is now training ground for Collingwood in the AFL
I believe Storm and Pies both use it. They get along well.
Go storm
The graveyard 😭
A dynasty is born.
Imagine being that who scored the first try😮
i miss Olympic Park,
warren looks so different damn
#bringbackwesternreds
if covid happened back then
I started going to games as a skinny little white 16yo in '99. Now standing in the crowd sinking frothies made me grow the hell up.
Wtf happend to Olympic park
Knocked it down and it got turned into a training facility for Collingwood.
