As someone who owns a 2022, but still had the hemi, I can say that it is a significant jump and ride quality and styling above a Tahoe I can’t speak for the other models. We absolutely would not go back to Tahoe after having the Wagoneer. I will say though we bought it secondhand for significantly less than the $100,000 price point you mentioned
I bought one in June, Wagoneer L, series iii. Was in the market for the largest possible SUV. Previously owned an 18 Expedition max. Compared side by side with new suburban and expy max, and the wagoneer is far superior in comfort and ride quality. I also like the styling. It's a nice break from the aggressive forward angles on everything that everyone else is doing. 3 months in, 4500mi family road trip complete, school drop offs have started and my family of 6 has no regrets in going with the wagoneer. Also, those msrp superlatives everyone is throwing around.....dealers are really cutting prices....
I think that it's up that much just because a lot of people didn't know about them. Last year I bought one for the dealership that I work at for resale. I loved it. So comfortable and stable, had almost all the options, even had automatic electrically adjustable suspension that you can control with a button on the console. No one came to look at and months later we had to practically give it away at a loss. When we finally sold it, the buyer said he bought it because he needed the room and towing capability and heard a lot of good things about them. Now even though I did love it, I wouldn't buy one new because of the depreciation and also Jeep has been having a lot of problems with reliability over the past few years.
Several reasons, they are new, they hold many people, great for going on long trips, they are comfortable while hold many people, they fit many people PLUS their luggage, they look good inside and outside and not corporate stodgy like the competing fords and chevys, I mean the suburban looks like it should be in a motorcade, the ford just looks like a massive ugly black box, but back to the reasons the wagoner has a big engine, it has soft roadability. So I’d say value, if people think they are getting a lot for the money they will pay a lot of money. It’s a minivan, Cadillac, 4Runner all in one.
I have a 22 wagoneer, very nice ride, just don't tow anything above 4,000 pounds..it says it's rated at 10,000.. already replaced a rear end and the air bag system is junk.. 6 grand wagoneer in the shot getting rear ends replaced when mine was in....I was towing 5500 lbs when mine went out..
My local Jeep Dealership has a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer Series II 4x4 (MSRP $80k) which was a loaner/Demo w/ 5,041 miles, the vehicle is marked down to $60,996 (supposedly getting Holiday Bonus Cash -1000, Conquest Bonus Cash -1000, Military Cash -500, Toys for tots donation -200).... Offer is- No money down, 42mo, 12ki miles for $850 (all-in).... Is this a good deal?
They are nice vehicles and kind of something different from Jeep but boy---you better like the price too. Most of the ones I've seen started at six figures. I don't know who the devil is paying that but they are......insanity, especially with the immediate drop in equity on them.
Rented a Series II. Apart from it being a gas guzzler and the glitchy instrument cluster, my family loved it. Perfect for a growing family. If you can get it for around mid $60s, it’s not that bad.

3L HURRICANE Twin Turbo I-6 Engine ISSUES *Heavy Mechanic Review* | Engines OVERHEATING!! Low towing capacity is not related to the engine but to transmission limitations. I also noticed a very small size of the tail lights on this massive wagonner.
Dealer shenanigans - As stelantis dealers are selling and trading on their floor plans to get em under control. Dealers are literally saying to fleets ok buy 10 of x cars you must take 1 wagoneer. Etc.
I thought these things were riddled with problem. It looks nice and drives nice but I keep hearing its not reliable. I drove a 2023 Wagoneer L when I was in Texas earlier this year as a rental.
The styling is atrocious. It's a larger Scion XB when it comes to looks. I love the Grand Cherokees. I've had 3 and now have a 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 5.7L HEMI. The styling is way better.
I think it looks like a generic Suburban! The sides are flat and smooth! It’s body is like how they were built in the 80s and 90s,,,,theirs no bold lines, no structure,,even the hood looks boring and flat!

Sales went up because it did well on the IIHS small overlap crash test that was done recently this year. It's the only vehicle that had a good score on that difficult crash test. The Expedition failed the crash test miserably and the Tahoe scored average. So, this is the safest full-size, body-on-frame SUV.

I work for a rental car company and we have a ton of them. Somebody must like them. They are very comfortable to drive.
The Hurricane i6 engine turns me off. I want one with a large V8.
I saw a grand wagoneer at my local lot 2 years ago and it was $105,000. People are insane for paying that much for a vehicle

@@theone5404 It's clearly not a luxury vehicle. It is a Dodge after all.
Finace or lease via a business/corporation, not as an employee, and then it's OK
