- "Like Toy Soldiers" is a song by rapper Eminem on his worldwide hit album Encore, that tells the story of his feuds in an attempt to settle down the rap community. He speaks his heart about problems with The Source magazine and its editor Benzino, as well as Murder Inc. Records. He explains the beef between Ja Rule and 50 Cent. He finishes off the song by offering a truce to his enemies. The song reached the top 40 in the US, and #1 in the UK. It samples heavily on the chorus from the song "Toy Soldiers" by Martika.
The dad of my friend had this song played at his funeral. That really made me cry back then. :')

One of Em's BEST songs.. the only rapper I've ever heard to make this song.. which was needed.. And not many could really do it like Em. the way he portrays his feelings so vividly.

not too many rappers can make such a dope song with alot of thought towards the lyrics
I will say this much. I don't always agree with his message, but I love his music. At the top of his game, there is no rapper better than selling his story to the listener. There is no rapper more capable of making the listener feel what he is feeling when he is singing/rapping.
eminem is so dope all the messsages in his songs make you go damn and think about it for a moment
The awards should have broke convention and gave them all a Grammy for the fact they all beautifully break convention. what a year that was for music!
Though I don't listen to rap much, Eminem is one of the greatest rappers I have ever heard, and about the only one I can stand.

I had this song in my head and I just had to listen to it. One of Eminem's many great songs. I hope he starts to produce songs like this again. Crack a Bottle was all right and We Made You was just one of his more relaxed, funny songs like Just Lost It. But now I want to see him compose great music like this. Everyone knows he's capable. We're just waiting...at least I am.

to think how ironic the song's video is? It depicted Proof's death - The sign Em needed to see that beef in Hip Hop could turn fatal... and then Proof really gets fatally shot.
I was watching this video on TV this one morning, and that same morning while I was cleaning my room, I heard on the radio that Proof was dead - the irony instantly hit me.
