The tube and the plate steel are not a problem. I have plenty lying around. I'd like to know where you got the gears and did they come already in the 90 degree fixture? Where did you get the motor and is it 115 volts? Everything I have around either nees a speed control or a transformer or both! Just found the spit part on Amazon for $18. Any info would be very helpful! I am doing the drystack fireplace this next spring. I already have all the materials. My girl wants me to make this for her. The mexicans call it a trumpo. She wants it for making Al Pastor! Thanks so much for all the info!

All the parts i bought on Amazon. The 90 degree worm gear took awhile to show up. The rod and couplings are 7mm. The motor is a 5rpm motor.
The base i built out of a cake pan and the part i stack the pork on is actually the insert you use on a turkey fryer. I just botled it to the cake pan.
The frame is just made out of square tubing. I made this cause all the ones you find online have the motor mounted under it. Which would get too hot in front of a fire.
      Hope this helps.

@@uncledavesfrontier6846 Thanks for the info! That 90 degree bevel gear set up is way salty on the price. I think I'll just buy some gears and machine my own block to hold them. Found all the rest on Amazon too! Awesome work dude! Lots of ideas from you stuff!

@@TheJamestat2 yeah, that worm gear was all i could find at the time. But all in all, i love how it all works.
