Thanks so much for the time and effort you’ve put into this series. It’s an incredible body of work 😊🙏
Thanks mate I’m enjoying your videos too 😁
I'd worry about dog wee?
Really hope you'll be adding on to each subsequent month as a continuation of this series so we'll be getting a March 'Part IV' next! Brilliant work dude and the best UK foraging series on UA-cam!
or, 'Part III' rather!
Great thank you 😊. Yes I’ll be adding more videos to most months in the future. I’ll be focusing on other videos for the next few years though as I’ll be travelling
"Foraging in [location]" is also going to be a great series, excited for the future of this channel!
@@UKWILDCRAFTS where will you be traveling? Will it be in UK only? If so I’m in east Devon
Mandy
I’ll be doing the UK this year. First the wales coast path then I’ll probably head to the north east England and maybe Scotland. Then next year I plan to do a bit of inter railing and exploring around Europe, especially Scandinavia. Also want to explore around Ireland at some point :)
Looking forward to the additions, learned a lot this year, much appreciated 🙏🏻
Great video!!! Thank you
That was a year of top class information, Lewis, it's like having an online foraging course given to us for free. The way you teach us about what's available out there in our native woodlands and shorelines is always excellent and there's never any added gimmicks and egotrips along the way either :) . The good ol' drone footage ain't half-bad too :) .
Thanks for everything, mate, it's very much appreciated.
Thank you for doing these videos there're so beneficial and informative.
You’re welcome ☺️
Outstanding series you've transformed our outdoor walks and hikes with knowledge that should be taught in schools imho. Thanks, keep up the great work
such inspiration , going out for walk tomorrow , love all your videos !
Thanks 😁
Brilliant. Thank You.
Great video, Thanks!
Thanks 😁
Thanks for sharing and hope you do make more videos to add on the previous ones. Very informative and helpful!
Thanks will do 😁
Incredible. Great stuff..

Really enjoy your videos as quite new to foraging. Looking forward to seeing your new videos this year.

This series has been a great inspiration for my foraging and wild foods venture. Still look forward to more videos in the future as I continue to expand!🪴👍
That’s great. Thanks 😊
Thankyou for sharing this whole Foraging Calendar with us all Lewis, it's been Great. 👍
Take care & keep busy everyone. ❤🙂🐶
Thanks 😊
@@UKWILDCRAFTS 👍🌱🤗❤🙂🐶
Outstanding!!!!
Thanks 😁
I've not tried scarlet elf cups but this is the second mention of eating them I've seen in the last couple of days.
I have always wanted to try ground elder.
Very interesting,well explained 💯👍
Thanks 😁
Great video mate thanks. 🪴
Thanks 😁
Thank you Lewis! Really interesting to learn what to look for in the colder months of the year
Thanks David 😊
Thanks a lot for share your knowledge!
Brillant!!!
You’re welcome. Thanks 😊
Thanks 🙏
Brilliant series mate,, professionally explained and very knowledgeable.. Thanks for taking the time to make these vids.. We look forward to more from you in the future..👍🏻👍🏻
Nice one thanks 😊
Thanks Lewis, I’ve watched the complete series but never commented before. I’ve found your guides very informative, well photographed and presented. Useful on local walks here in Buckinghamshire . You mentioned in a comment that you’ll be off overseas fairly soon, so I’ll wish you safe and enjoyable travelling.
Thanks Mark. I’m off hiking the Wales coast path. Will be travelling Europe next year :)
Fabulous hope you keep going with these videos. So helpful 👍
Thanks. Will do 😁
Sweeet
♥️🌏⭐💚
Thanks
🙊🙈🙉
Thank you Lewis I think your videos are the best on you tube the way you explain things is top notch and looking forward to the new season with more of your fantastic vids for us all to enjoy ....Thanks again 👍👍👍
Thanks much appreciated Matt 😁
aww sad this is the last episode of the foraging calendar but excited to see what you post next
Yes lots of videos planned :)
I loved these series. I watched it in a few days. And I took notes off all of it, into a notebook. When I am out foraging I take the notebook with me. And the book food for free. Thank you for the work you put into these series. I will follow along.
I loved these videos, very informative and interesting 👍thanks
Thanks 😊
Thank you very much!
You’re welcome 😁🌱
You made it, one full year. I'm really grateful for all the time and effort you have put into this. Without doubt the best foraging series on you tube. It was a little sad to get to the end, but as long as it stays on you tube I'll be returning every month again. I've filled a note book on your series, THANK YOU so much.
Thank you Steve 😁
Brilliant 😊
Thanks 😁🌱
😀 Great series, just to echo the thoughts of folks below - it's so helpful to share you knowledge on an open platform. thank you.
Thanks mate loved every episode. Buzzing for spring for one of my spring rejuvenating soups.👍
Yes same. Love fresh spring soups 😋
Infinite gratitude for the most amazing foraging videos you have blessed us with. You are made for this. Pure magic!
Thanks Hellie 😁🌱
Awesome video! Big fan of foraging the three corned leek, it has been in many spring salads ^-^
Thanks. Yes I love it too, lovely taste of spring 😋
It was exciting to find a new forage plant today - Thyme leaved sandwort. Like you said, if you keep your eyes open and get closer to the ground, there can be so much to see and learn even in Feburary! Deadnettles (lamium) along with wild garlic (allium vineale), chickweed, and some brassicas have been common forages here in Missouri for this month.
Nice it sounds very similar in Missouri to the UK with plants 😁
Thank you loads for this series - you've offered some of the most useful information one could learn!
Thank you 😊
Thank you so much ! Really appreciate your videos : easy to distinguish the plants and mushrooms and where they grow, harvesting precautions, how to eat them, ...(sorry for my english, I'm french).
Thanks 😊. And your English is very good
Brilliant series - so informative- thank you 😊
Thanks I appreciate that 😁
Great stuff keep it up
Thanks 😊
Thankyou so much for your year of foraging the UK, i have really enjoyed all your knowledge and visual content.

Great amount of information as always. Thank you and all the best.
Thanks 😊
Great video
Thanks 😁
You have the best channel on this topic! Come to the Netherlands and please do an episode here:)
Dank je wel! I will come to the Netherlands for a trip and to film one day for sure. I love it there, I used to live in Noordwijk many years ago :)
@@UKWILDCRAFTS that's great to hear! Looking forward to it. Please announce it beforehand and if you do any courses or events for locals, I'd be very interested:)
Thank you for this good and useful video.
Thanks Carol :)
I appriciate your hard work
Thanks Helena, much appreciated. Lewis 😁
Amazing series good work man 👍
Cheers 😁

An amazing series thank you 😊 🙏

Thanks 😁
Lovely stuff.
Thanks 😊
What a magnificent series! Thank you. Best foraging videos I’ve ever seen. I wish that a similar sequence existed for the various climate zones in Australia.
Excellent video love them.keep up the great work
Thanks Paul :)
Amazing videos, keep em coming 👍
Thanks 😊
Thank you!! 😊
You’re welcome ☺️
Terrific
Thanks 😁
Sorry I'm late, 🙃I appreciate your effort and look forward to finding these on my next walk.
Thanks 😁
It’s fascinating how this knowledge is passed down.
Keep going!
It's Scallions in Ireland.
So many Americans have family in Ireland that it's easy to see why they call them Scallions also.
Great video thanks.
Ah I didn’t know it’s an Irish word. Thanks 😊
Another great video, thanks for doing them. Looking forward to seeing your Wye valley exploring video when it's ready. (think I remembered correctly)
Thanks 😊. It’s the wales coast path I’m doing from next month. So lots of coastal foraging
Great video and I hope to do more foraging this year as last year I spent doing repairs after storm Eunice
👍 Mandy in Devon
Thanks 😊
Do like the monthly vids, please consider doing them again. I've got lots of bittercress, some red nettle is coming back. I'll look for the thin stemmed wild garlic. Have the thick type, the ones that make those lovely scapes. Some clovis is coming back. I cannot remember what to do with them. Please remind me. Hello from Corvallis, Oregon US.
Thanks I’ve got plans for a few more this year 😁
Well done.
Cheers 😁
Love the vid, thanks
Thanks Daniel
My garden is packed full of HIry buttercress so I might add to my diet from now on😁.
You should it’s a great little herb :)
Thanks a lot. As always great.
Thank you I appreciate it 😁
I'm so glad that you included a warning about the possibility of the plants having been treated with chemicals!
Thankyou buddy 👍
You’re welcome cheers mate :)
Good information thanks
Thanks 😊
Love your content, have you ever consider producing a book, APP or even a downloadable PDF?
An A5 size book would be more suitable as one could have it out in the field unlike the others if SHTF!
I understand the time & work involved but your reward would be well worth it!
It’s on my to do list, a foraging guide book. But will be a long time yet as I’ll be travelling now for a few years. I’ll still be filming though :)
@@UKWILDCRAFTS sounds good. Will you be travelling overseas too?
@@QwinnieLu56 yes next year. This year I’ll be around the UK and next year I’m thinking of inter railing around Europe
Thanks for your fantastic knowledge Lewis, cant wait for spring to see some more wild edibles, you'll be putting the supermarkets out of business soon.
Thanks Graeme haha yes hopefully :)
great video
Thanks 😊
Thanks for this series, I looked forward to every episode over the year. Super accessible and easy to follow, love it
Thanks Tom :)
Nice video again! I found some velvet shanks in my local woods today, not very much unfortunately - also dandelion leaves just starting to appear
These videos are brilliant! So clear, concise and straight to the point. Very inspiring! 🙏 Thank you!
Thanks 😊
Thank you very very much for your kindness and generosity, teaching people about this!!
You are helping everyone by sharing this information and knowledge!!
I've been a keen forager from as long as I can remember...
But, It's great to be reminded of some of the essential stuff!!
I'm still learning a lot more from you, (*and others),
I would be a fool to think that I know everything!!
Lovely to see the ground elder is up, it's one of my absolute favorites!!
**If any Gardener's, in Carlisle UK
Have a problem with this one, please let me know,
~ I'd be overjoyed to help you out by thinning it for you Frequently!! Lol!!
Namasté 🙏
Andréa and Critters. ...XxX....
Ps, I'm wondering if you would be able to do a bit more of a
"deep dive" into the history of the many wonderful edibles we have growing in the UK?!
*I am wondering why the ground elder fell out of favour,,,
also I think that the Romans brought it here?!
(Of course, -I could be wrong?!)
Thanks Andrea yes I’m the same, been foraging for many years but I’m always still learning and will never know it all 😁
Yes it’s thought that it was bought over by the Romans like many plants, like Alexanders. Either for themselves or feed for their horses
Thoroughly enjoyed these videos and taking my son out to learn foraging with me. Your knowledge is priceless and we can't thank you enough for sharing. Look forward to more content from you.
Love it thank you, and great skills for your son to learn 😁
I sometimes think I've spotted an elf cup only to find it's a coke bottle top when I get closer! 😂
Yes I get that too 😆
@@UKWILDCRAFTS I did find a few elf cups today and some surprisingly early wild garlic. I think I'll see if I can find some ground elder and three cornered leeks over the next week. Thanks for another great video 💖
Thank you so much!! I have learned such a lot from your videos. Your knowledge and skill in communicating details is fantastic. Not to mention your amazing close up videos. 🙂
Thank you 😁
Love your videos, thanks a lot for taking the time to record them !!! 😁🍀👍
Thanks 😊
Thanks. Your knowledge is 2nd to none. Love your videos.
Thanks Chris 😁
All of your videos are Excellent ! I've learned so much through watching your channel. Keep up the Great work!
Thanks I appreciate that 😁
Glad to hear you'll be carrying on with this even though you've come full-circle. Thanks for all your great work & God bless! :)
Thanks 😊
Do add more on this series mate! Learnt so much from you! Thank you.
Thanks will do 😁
Thanks great videos.
Cheers :)
Thank you so much for creating this series! It's helped me so much when I've begun branching out from mushrooms to wild plants, and I'll definitely keep referring back during the year to learn more.
Great thank you 😊
Thankyou
You’re welcome 😁
Love your videos thank you. Hairy bitter cress is yummy. When I weed it out of my pots, the seeds hit you in the face 🤣 I spotted 3CL last year by its flower, so will pop by this week and harvest some. Thanks for your time, effort and knowledge Lewis making this series all year 😀
Thanks Ruth. Yes the seeds of HBC do explode quite violently don’t they? Haha
You are the best
Thanks 😁
Love the format. Can you recommend a book that does month by month what to find, where and how to prepare please
Thanks 😁. The foragers calendar by John Wright is good for the monthly format. Doesn’t go into too much detail about preparation though. I’m working on a foraging guidebook should be out sometime next year 😁
Thanks, ordered. Looking forward to your guide.
❤
Really truly enjoy watching your insightful videos! I’m going out today to see what we have in our area of Japan :) I know we have the jelly ear mushrooms!
Great. Thank you 😊
I have a massive problem with Ground Eld3r in my garden so my grocery bill just halved👍.
Haha yes put it on the menu :)
