Joel Salatin - There's a Different Way to Farm
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- We shot with Joel Salatin for the Food Lies film and he showed us that everything most people have heard about farming is wrong. It is GOOD for the animals, it IMPROVES the soil, it's BETTER for the environment, and it provide HEALTHY food for humans. Don't believe the vegan lies and propaganda.
Portions of this will appear in the feature-length documentary FoodLies.org which is crowdfunding on Indiegogo now

Joel Salatin really has the heart of a teacher. He loves what he does and loves teaching it to others.
We need more people like this
What a fascinating guy.
Joel is the best. We just toured his farm ourselves and been practicing a lot of what he teaches for years. Phenomenal movement! Hoping for will come a board
Cow-days per acre is a nice formulation.
That’s a beautiful farm. This guy is exactly what we need.
Simply Love. Joel is my Hero, changed the way we farm 17 years ago because of Joel. Love.
A legit hero for today
100%
Going to college right now for Farming. This guy is fascinating
Time to get Joel back on your Podcast Brian. There are tough times ahead for the Regenerative Ag scene. We need these big voices to scream even louder now.
Now, that man IS saving the planet.
I wish I was a farmer! I love the smell! 😊 This sounds like perfect and instinctual farming practices. Bravo!
WOW! this is inspiring, thumb up!
Slazem se! Kad vidim ovo dodje mi da napravim svoju farmu. x)))

Can someone provide the name of the fence he was using to keep the chickens in and foes out?
this should have more views, happy animals not CAFOs
I bought Joel's new book, and I have to say he does bring up the Kardashians quite often.
Love Joel Salatin's farming!
THIS STATEMENT by Salatain at 0:33 SAYS IT ALL >>> "You know when people say, well What's the criteria? Well on our little bags we say "Healing the Land One Bite at a Time"....and basically we believe if it's not healing then it's not good. If you just ask the question; DOES THIS HEAL?...it would fundamentally change the amount of Coca Cola we drink and the in kind of entertainment we do.. I mean is there anything healing about the Kardashians??"
Chills! So good.
Would be glad too come visit and learn sir. I run mangalitsa pigs in Texas. Along with mangalitsa red wattle mix. New too it all, only a year in.
Thank God for Joel

Do you have a dvd copy for sale? Not looking for a digital copy.
No, I think DVDs have gone the way of the dodo. Perhaps we could figure something out though. Reach out at hi@foodlies.org

Scholl of traditional skills, Josh and Caroline not sure I spelled her name right. They are on UA-cam

Mr. Salatin is too kind to speak bluntly about the majority of other "farmers," but the truth is that most of them are too lazy and non-innovative (i.e., block-headed and stubborn) to adopt these healthy methods. Most got their farm from their family line and are always looking for shortcuts, which is why they poison the land and their own families and workers with herbicides.
Jesus really did come back he a farmer this time
Almost all videos of this guy consist of him preaching his new agriculture revelation in a field. I want to know his net profit per acre and the hours he has to put in to make it happen. To be sustainable agriculture, first it has to pay the mortgage.
I agree 100% with the guy but his voice is annoying AF
Don’t watch it lol
Bad method what happens when you move the sheds the chickens run away
@@arthurl4300 does your mum know you're gay?
FooleanPerspective It seems that he knows exactly what he’s doing.
Remove that poisonous background music that disturbed the intelligibility of the speech and makes listening to the content uncomfortable.
Putting meaningless background music is a bad habit that evolves since 20 years from stupid behavior of producers.
Shame on you who are responsible for the audio quality of the video.
It makes nervous and distracts from the spoken lecture.
Aside from this the audio ist good because of the attached wireless Lavalier microphone.
Why not put out a video and show us how it's done?
If it's not vegan then it's not sustainable. This is a better option than factory farming but with the amount of meat people eat there is not enough land to farm like this. This land requires no forests, animal agriculture requires a lot of deforestation. If the world was vegan we could cut back land used for agriculture by 75% meaning many more forests and biodiversity which sequesters carbon and greatly reduces methane emissions.
Awesome.
Work with nature instead of how we've been trying to outsmart nature.
I really need to make it to Polyface farms soon. Joel Salatin has been someone I have looked up to since I first read, Folks this ain’t Normal, and watched Food inc. I wish more people shared his passion and commitment to how our food should be produced.
The difference is tremendous between an educated person making decisions about things they don't really know or understand. Or the person who knows what to do because of their knowledge, work and observation. That would be the true scientific method in real life. That knowledge is summed up by Joel Salatin saying."Healing the land one bite at a time. " Unless the educated people realy screw things up, we are still headed toward a more populated world with more social problems. Together with Knowlagable People and work we have the ability for all of us to live better lives and leave behind an improved world for our children.
