@DJchuffbucket - Sorry I'm just now seeing your post! They actually performed the entire album at the 9:30 Club in D.C., and unlike the last time they were there doing stuff from RUBY VROOM and IRRESISTIBLE BLISS, I had heard the album BEFORE the show, so I already had favorite songs I knew backwards and forwards, this being one of them...
Every candidate wants a catchy, punchy tune to define their campaigns. But if one single swinging Tom, Dick or Harriet on either side of the aisle were truly an honest man or woman, they would've gone with THIS one for the last run of elections (or would pick it for 2012). BTW - I feel so blessed that I got to see them live for their very last tour...behind THIS album!
I've been listening to these guys for years. Soul Coughing & CAKE are the best bands ever.
Gingrish I 100% agree
So good
You spelled Ween incorrectly, 👀.
The bass in all their songs is AMAZING! I'm in love.
It's good to be reminded how good these guys were. Love the nod to Joe Jacksons's "Stepping Out."
F@*kin love this song. Goes hard in the paint.... Then bliss
Very proud to have El Oso LP on 180gram vinyl. Very nice to throw into a DnB or Jazzstep set out of nowhere.
The sound at 2:36 can also found in the intro to “Multiple Object Selector” on Mark De Gli Antoni’s album “Horse Tricks”
This song is great! I love playing this on bass, esp. the intro.
Kind of reminds me of The Lion King... awesome!

Is it me or is that piano sample from Joe Jackson's "Steppin' Out"? Sounds exactly like his style. Perfectly integrated--thanks for the upload!!
what a great fucking song and album they influenced me musically a lot.
JOHNNUMBERTHREE... The song your looking for is (casiotone Nation) Live version on Ruby Vroom album.
i love this song :D
Broad Latitude 2da 2du 2daY Be Attitude 👁️ 🏹🏹🏹
@deltatangofoxtot I've always wondered the VERY SAME thing. I'd love to see a list of samples from this record a la Girl Talk.
Can we make this the new tune for the upcoming inauguration?
jake faulkner since sence is become absent.
The Bear!
yeah just go to scug (google it). They have tabs on all soul coughing songs, and most of them are pretty spot-on.
This song with five whole words is political AF RN.
Sandgotlove Gotcha. I'm 95% sure it's "rutter" not "runner," implied that instead of steering in the right direction blame is used as a fix
You were so close. It's actually "Pull the RUDDER down"...as in the rudder of a ship, which helps steer it...
Or a sailboat. Very small ones often have retractable rudders and centerboards.
@DJchuffbucket agreed definitely look up KJ sawka for that ill stuff
Dude, I can't think of the name of the song that has to do with, ya' know, 5% nation of this and that. Which one is that again?
casiotone nation
@DJchuffbucket Support the artists you love. Buy the album!
The intro of this sog is great, but i dont like the lyrics lol, i used to hear this when i was 9, now i hear metal but is fun to listen it again :D
Casiotone Nation
I would but I dont have a Camcorder/webcam. Also it's very easy to do. Fun, but easy.
it is the aliens of course.
this such a mix of MMW and Phish....the intro reminds me of some MMW stuff and the chorus sounds kinda 'phishy'....
;)
you mean drugs and alcohol. yeah
