You guys have a production value higher than most board game review shows and I love the questions aspect rather than “I like it” that a lot of other channels have. I wish I had more than just one like to give your videos, because you deserve to have tens or hundreds of thousands of views.
Probably my favourite game. Was on my most wanted list for some time. Only gets played once in a while but I love the lengthyness of the game and the participation from all players. Fabulous!😁
Nah, it's a very thematic game. I think it makes perfect sense that the boss schemes while you're in alter ego. Most of the time alter ego is where the super hero hides. That's where the villain in movies progresses their plans. That's thematic as hell.
Nice video, And I loved that one of the good things was that it is thematic, and one of the bad things was that it was not very thematic. Because I agree, I find alter-ego and obligations to be thematic, btw they do a lot more with obligations outside the core box, I think think they were just trying to keep it simple in the core box. They even add additional obligations in some of the scenarios and campaigns. They are super thematic. But for me the non-thematic part is the deck building, and some of the cards just don't make sense, but are required for a good deck. Like Drax playing the genius card, or Nebula using a Helicarrier.
I'm late to the party! What did you think of the expansion? Should I pick this up with the expansion? Thanks for great videos. Keep them coming! Cheers!
I have to disagree on ALL the "worst thing" you both mentioned. For me it's the fact that you need to spend A LOT(and REGULARLY) to get the most fun and variety from this game. Also the fact that this problem was not mentioned suggests and gives the impression that you two are in a bed of roses situation, W/c is painting boardgames as a luxury.
That's a good point. If you want to follow along and buy all the new heroes and badies you'll have to spend a lot of money. As it is with any living card game

Yes you are right about the deckbuilding, but you can think of it as a very very far fetched crossover ;) Also, which expansion would you suggest?
Good stuff!
As allways awesome Video. You lost subscribers with your Marvel statement at the End :D But like allways, by far the best Boardgame Videos out there.
Yeah.. JT won't get any favors from Marvel fans after this one :D
I agree with Janis
but... which one? (*insert dramatic hamster meme*)
@@BoardGameHangover The handsome, intelligent Janis, of course!
Yeah, you got yourself a new subscriber!
Welcome aboard!
I’ve got everything up to the new X-Men sets and I don’t feel the need to play anything else. Can’t say fairer than that! 11/10. 🥰
How do you mostly play? Solo?
@@BoardGameHangover Solo, 1 hero or two depending on time. Best thing about the game is, no need to socialise! 😁
What is the mini campigns of the core box?
There really is no mini campaign. Just 3 different scenarios.

Start with the base. And if you like the base gameplay, add expansions then.
I agree with Janis, Marvel is decent. It's not all that though... way too oversaturated these days!
Ahh, the curse of collectible, living and trading card games.
