    Itiwit 500 touring inflatable SUPs are a range of iSUPs available from Decathlon. With a unique look and many fittings and features not seen on other boards on the market, the Itiwit touring boards are well set up for touring and exploring straight out of the bag. Just remember you'll need to buy a pump and paddle as an extra as these aren't included with the board. The Itiwit 500 touring inflatable SUPs will suit paddlers wanting to paddle further as well as those paddlers thinking about giving racing a go.

    Great review guys. I was only looking at these boards the other day and I think you’ve just helped me make my mind up. I’m predominantly a Sea kayaker, but bought a couple of the cheap as chips Lidle iSups for my daughter and I recently. Been out every day this week and loving it.

      A review on the race board would be good! How do you find it in chop Mitch? Is there enough of a rocker or best for flat water only?

      @@rossmathieson6498 definitely comes into its own on flat water but have had it out in choppy conditions and it holds its own. Being 25' wide there is obviously a bit of wobble but I just came of a 23' board so I am finding it stable in comparison. The only issue I am having is downwinding with it. Cannot seem to find a sweet spot and am struggling to get it to 6mph. I suppose that this is not what it is designed for but neither was my last board and I could get it to 6 no problem. Looking at using it for the Great Glen challenge in Sept but if I cannot get more glide on it downwind I am going to have to look at something else. For the price though it is a great board.

      Itiwit have gone a bit quiet with us on SUPs this year but we do have a Touring board coming for a SUPboarder Pro test soon. Not sure which board it is yet though..lol Thanks Reuben

      @@SUPboardermag I feel most of the sup company's have been a bit quiet over the pandemic. Hopefully they will get back in touch with you. I would love to see a 14ft isup touring board showdown, single chambers Vs double chambers, bang for buck and deflection tests etc. I'm eyeing the 2021 starboard DC and the itiwit expedition among others. Anyway keep up the good work reubz can't wait to see the next touring, board review and hints and tips videos 👍🏻

    I've been paddling for nearly 5 years and have 2 starboard whoppers. Hardboard and an isup. I'm after something longer with more glide for when there's no waves.
    Looking at this. The aztron neptune or maybe the jobe neva.
    Can you let me know which might be best suited. I'm about 100kg.
    I do like the look of the itiwit.

      Hey John. I would say go for the Itiwit compared to those other boards. I talk about the Itiwit Touring boards in more detail here on SUPboarder Pro : www.supboardermag.com/2019/06/28/itiwit-500-touring-inflatable-sups-comparison-review-video/ . Its our subscription service and there's also loads of other feature videos you will find interesting on there as well. Learn more about Pro here : www.supboardermag.com/pro/ . Your whoppers and one of these boards would make a great combo. Thanks Reuben

    I just bought this table (the big yellow one) thinking it was multipurpose (a bit of tourism and a bit of a quiet wave 1mt / 1,5 mt), you think it's possible to do some wave or I have made a big mistake?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  5 років тому +1

      Hi, You will be able to catch and ride some small waves for sure. They wont have the best of performance in the surf, but if you just want to ride along the waves it wont be a problem. You could go for something that surfs a little better but it wont be as easy to paddle longer distances.

    Hi there. Which one should I get if I'm 180cm 76 kg rider. Not expert. Planning to tour and fun rides 50/50.
    Just thinking 32 board will be heavier to control(turns and so on) with my weight?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  4 роки тому +3

      Hey, At your weight I would go for the 29 wide board. The 32" will be more stable and easy to start off with, but after a few sessions the 29" will be the better bet. Hope that helps Reuben

    Hi, I notice in the video (min 2:05 for example) that chunks of material are already missing from the EVA pad. Is that normal tear and wear or rather the pad is not very durable? I have the itiwit x100 11' and I quickly noticed the same. Thanks

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  3 роки тому

      Hi Adrian . I would say that this is normal where and tear on boards but deck pad quality can vary between brands. Also itiwit have softer deck pads which is comfortable to stand on but wont offer as much hard wearing as harder less comfortable pads. Sticking any rips down with glue is pretty easy though.
      Hope that helps? Thanks Reuben

    Hello. What about Jobe Neva 2021 12'6? How good it is compare with this board. Speed, agility, rigidity, resistance to wind and waves?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  3 роки тому

      These board are comparable to the jobe boards. Probably with similar performance too. But the Prices of the Itiwit stuff is really good and the build quality too. These touring boards are a good all around shape and size for paddling further and with good stability and great in all water states!
      thanks Reuben

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  4 роки тому +1

      Hey Jonas the X500 Are similar but it looks like the features and fittings are a bit more refined on the new 2020 boards and also they are longer in length as well. We will try and get hold of some of those boards to review Thanks Reuben

    Hi there! I am 125 pounds and my dog who will join is 60 pounds. Do you suggest the 29" or 32" for more stability with the dog? Thanks so much!

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  4 роки тому

      I guess it depends how much your dog likes to move around on the board. If they are a pretty calm placid character then you could get away with the 29. But if they're a bit erratic then maybe the 32 would be the better option. But your overall weight of both of you would suggest the 29'' would be best.

    Maybe better off getting a Bluefin 12' Cruise that comes with all the accessories.

    • @MTJ999
      @MTJ999 4 роки тому

      Vim £250 more though. If you already have a paddle and pump, this is definitely a much better buy and more geared up for touring.

      I think you get a kayak seat with the bluefin. Also it's stiffer and better quality.

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  2 роки тому

      Hay Darren. If you start on the right size board and get a few basic tips. It shouldn't be that hard to get the basics. But some paddlers do make it look easier than others.
