I love Franchesca and John’s storyline probably the most this season. There is a sweetness and innocence to it. It is lovely. I love Colin and Pen’s story of course but John and Franchesna was a great surprise. Waiting impatiently for second part!!!
I knew as soon as the gentleman walked up to Francesca, the way he approached her... I knew he was going to be her love interest. The body language and facial expressions says it all. They have chemistry, it was absolutely stunning to watch. I was in awe at how beautiful and serene their relationship is shown on the screen, in all the quiet moments. 💖
From my heart, I agree that the truest love is love that needs no words. You just have the energy with someone as comfortable as swimming weightless in a perfectly body-temperature pool. There's no stress to loving them. It feels as natural as breathing. In fact, you breathe even more naturally together than you do apart. You feel finally HOME.
I like Bridgerton well enough for what it is, but I think this is the first romance that I’m like - these two fundamentally UNDERSTAND each other. 😭 When they sat on the couch not talking and the family didn’t know what to do with themselves my heart was seriously beating so hard and there were tears in my eyes. I’m so in love with their dynamic and they’ve barely said anything to each other. They don’t need to. ♥️
Their lines may not be that much, but the amount of research and work just to portray different kinds of emotions or gesture to show that a person is uncomfortable, introverted, different, weird etc. is awesome, kudos to both actors!
you have theeeee best insight i felt it but i couldnt express it or actually get to this point but yahh i felt the combination of both energies Daphne and Eloise in this girl like if you felt Eloise most relatable to you you could feeel a connection with Francesca too but not tooooooo much
They became my favorite couple of season 3. She seeks peace and he is her peace. I’m obsessed and thought both actors did an outstanding job! Gorgeous couple!
This is my favorite match so far, silence is golden. While love and sex speak their own language and levels of volume it is when sitting in silence we make since after all the talking and listening is done silence is timeless like music.
This season is so relatable to me in twrms of how love is expressed . As an introvert my expressions of love and gestures of love is very subtle so watching a couple who are subtle is so refreshing for me❤
She's def different from the Francesca of Season 1 & 2. They changed her personality some IMO. I do love her and John's story, as well as her love story in coming seasons. My son is autistic, and I see they are leaning on that for her this season as well as highlighting persons with disabilities. IE (the young lady who is deaf and the Lord who is in the wheel chair).
@@hrgirl26 At first I thought she was just really introverted. I feel like because I was the one who noticed my sons signals before he was officially diagnosed and I quietly diagnose my family with ADHD etc that sometimes I might overdiagnosis people/situations period... so I just said "Nah". Then I talked to my dad and he mentioned it and told me to rewatch and I was like "Aaaahhhh"...so I def think they are leaning on it...
I agree! Although the previous Francesca didn’t have many speaking parts, her personality did seem a little more sassy and confident than the current Francesca. I like them both, but from a continuity perspective, she’s a totally different character, literally and figuratively.
@@nm0852 I just finished reading the third book and in those Francesca doesn’t seem as introverted as in the series. Now I‘m curious about how book-Francesca and TV-Francesca evolve. But I have to admit so far I‘m not a fan 🤔.
As much as I loved the first story of this series, I am loving the one with Francesca & Lord Sterling. She is imo a more natural beauty than Daphne with her quiet demeanor. I am anxiously awaiting the 2nd part of this series to see where each love story that was introduced in part 1 will go. Most especially I want to see the story of Violet & Lord Marcus(?). Waiting…..
My favorite thing about Frannie, other than a lot, is that the ONE storyline (if you can call it that) in S1/S2(?) is that she was practicing Piano in Bath. The fact that they ran with it and made it such an integral part of her character is lovely.
One thing they got right about introverts: we like peace, discretion and avoid loud people and places. But I think this trope is a bit exaggerated in this season with this couple. And I mean it's like these 2 represent everything that is stereotypically perceived about introverts and only that. Yes, we like to feel comfortable in silence with someone else, but we also know how to articulate words. When interested in someone romantically, we don't talk excessively, but are interested in having MEANINGFUL conversations, not always sit in silence together. So far, these 2 characters seem like caricatures of introverts made by highly extroverted people. Like , whomever wrote their scenes was thinking: "how shall I write some introverted characters?" 🤔 "Got it, yeaaaah, duuude, those 2 probably just sit together in a corner in total silence"🤣🤣🤣
I don’t think they’re introverts though. The way their minds function doesn’t exude “introvert” to me. They act…kinda autistic to be honest. Especially the quiet lord. Even the way they talk to each other is abnormal even for an introvert. Penelope is an introvert. To some extent Eloise is an introvert. And they interact with people in a way introverted people might interact given their own personalities.
Part2 is coming btw. They had like 5mins screentime together so as for us to get acquainted with them. The actors also said that part 2 is when we'll see John get forced out of his comfort zone in order to make his intentions clear and declare his love for Francesca.
@@crazygamer_1082 Interesting take 🤔I think you might be right about this. I totally relate to Penelope as an introvert. She seems more like a genuine introvert. On the other hand, Francesca seems better adjusted when dealing with social etiquette ( this might be also due to her halo effect, she is considered as more physically attractive and thus not under scrutiny for most of the time, so her awkwardness doesn't show up on any radar). But the way Lord Kilmartin showed up uninvited and left abruptly with no concern about "common sense" seems like a good indicator for some form of autism. If that's the case, I understand where the script writing is coming from 🤷
I really wished she would’ve married the prince from season 1 that Daphne turned down. I actually think they would’ve been cute together, even though I do understand her not wanting the attention. I think he would’ve done his best to make her comfortable
he could NEVER, he was such a golden retriever and she needed someone calm and quite, plus he is a prince, he can do nothing about it, she would have had to live in constant attention
I agree with your interpretation. The costumes were a mess, and yes, I did not see the passion between the 2 leads; they should have had more screen time. In addition, there were too many characters.
Introverts need time to recharge this love interest works out for her also she doesn’t want a big family because she’s from a big family this love interest won’t burn her social battery out I want a quiet family also I don’t want all that noise
A lot of people have been hinting that Fran might be autistic or neurodivergent…..the problem with the signs of that, is that it’s too similar to simply being an introverted person. As someone who is both autistic and introverted, it can be a bit hard when people automatically assume autism without really trying to deep dive into the character development. Plus people who are autistic experience it, and behave differently. So unless it’s truly 100% confirmed that Fran is autistic it shouldn’t be just broadly put out there that she is when she could very well just be an introvert who simply doesn’t like all the attention on her, and prefers peace/quiet.
I understand what you mean, for me personally I like to think of Francesca as neurodivergent because I myself am autistic and I just see so much of myself in her (and John). Francesca could very well just be a quiet introvert who enjoys her peace and solitude but in the same way that autistic individuals don't all have the same experiences or behaviors, it's the same for introverts. I think that's why some people see her as autistic, because her behavior can appear as more than introversion to some introverts who can't exactly relate to her. I say this because I've seen comments of people saying that the writers didn't know how to write about an introverted character and made her into a sort of caricature of what extroverted people think introverts are like. I don't think it needs to be 100% confirmed, it's just fan theories.
If you think about it they wouldn’t actually know she was autistic back in those times so maybe they are trying to hold consistent with the era by not calling attention to her traits so directly. In fact families worked hard to hide all medical/mental health related conditions if they could back then. They used to refer to neurodivergent people as odd or particular that acted similarly to Francesca. II also think Lord Debling was on the spectrum. The writer, Shonda, captures the same of hiding/not directly addressing a condition to the general public in Queen Charlotte with King George.
But being introverted is often part of a diagnosis, it could be a PD like schizoid, could be something more "shy" like avoidant PD. Fran skews more towards ASD because of her special interest. 😉
The change in this storyline makes me kinda sad the show won't take the path of the books. Its my favorite of all 8 and so much is off that I don't see much in common with the book version. The show version is good as a stand alone but not in comparison to original story.
