Your videos make me so excited about my own collection. That’s why I love every single one and think that it’s worth it to watch amazing historical videos that always teach you something in a unique way
I checked Numista for that 1960 Jersey penny. It commemorates 300 years since Charles II's accession to the throne. I watched the vid all the way through. There was loads of info on rare coins, so I'm going to go through all my penny collection looking for the key dates! 😁
Long but really enjoyable video that I watched all the way through. Lots of interesting coins especially the old Jersey and Guernsey coins. I like all the coins with monarchs on but I really love Edward Vii Great stuff Coin Patrol 👍🏻
Excellent watch! If it doesn't already exist, you should consider doing a video on the most 'findable' varieties. Perhaps even a series with the impossible to find ones too? Thanks a lot, kept me entertained while sorting some coins of my own :)
Raised dots, low tides, broken tooth and calm seas are the most found varieties. Victoria young head, young older head and young old head can be tricky but once you learn the eyes and nose, gets easier. not talking about jubilee, or widow heads.
Great video. I watched the entire video and enjoyed it. I love the pre-decimals. I struggle to find them in NZ. Missing a 1951 from my 3 books. I plan to catch your other videos soon. Kiwi19 🇳🇿
What an epic video Coin Patrol, I didn't realise there was so much to spot on the old penny's. I live the Edward 7th coins buddy. I think the stamped coins were made out to be work tokens. Excellent 👍👍👍
Nice sets of pennies Paul and very interesting watched start to finish enjoyed every second thank you for your time and effort and your son for fishing out almost all the Elizabeth’s 😁 love the Edward the vii pennies. Stay safe and hunt on 👍👍👍👍👍
I am now addicted to your penny hunts one thing that stands out is there is not as many jerseys in this batch of coins sold. I’m only half hour in & that 1876 is a beauty. I do wonder if this set sold to you was to impress as your current one although has far less 67s but the general condition is not as good as these.30 mins in I will return tomorrow
I like the long videos. You get more for your pennies 😁 Did you check the 1926 pennies to see if they were the standard variant or the modified effigy type? Both were low minted and are quite collectable, especially the modified effigy coin 😉
Hi Paul. I Sorted my big jar of pennies yesterday that I've had for 40 years funny that. I found 15 sets of Edward V. So great to see you doing the same
At 12:07 you might have a rare 1907 penny. The normal one the date is written evenly, however on the rare one the 7 is noticeably higher. I cannot really tell looking at the image, but easiest way to see is to compare to another 1907 penny
Paul we love these hunt. We did pennys and half pennys at christmas. Was great fun. When you coming up live again. We love your quizzys. Love Edward VII.
Hi Andrew, thanks for watching. There is a lot of work being done on the telephone lines around here at the moment and the signal is rubbish. They assure us it will all be fixed in a couple of weeks so I should be able to do a live after that.
Hi Paul, l really enjoyed watching, observing and listening to your video's, they are always so full of knowledge regarding the coins, . I love your video's as a relatively new collector, (around 3 years now) coins really do fascinate me, plus the history of them, l love history, always have, but with coins comes the history of Kings and Queens throughout history, which l find fascinating too, l enjoy the knowledge you share regarding the details on coins, which l note down on paper, thank you very much for these video's, if you don't mind me asking where do you get the old blue coin collecting albums with the year and mintage on them, l have tried looking online but nothing comes up. Thanks again.

I really enjoyed watching this video. I have learned some things about our old currency. Having spent many years using the L S D currency. Thanks for posting 👍. I love Edward the V11 (7th).
I also have an 1877 Spanish 10 centimos coin (23:35) but mine has some scratches on the observe. I also have been collecting the pre decimalized pennies and I enjoy your videos on these beauties. Best regards from the US. And the coin with Vittorio Emanuele II is from 1866 and is minted in Turin.
Very cool video, I always love these ones! I especially liked that you had some unexpected foreign ones like Jersy and South Africa and of course I love Edward VII!
I have a Napoleon III penny like the one you found that’s been counter stamped with Pears Soap on it for advertising. I have no idea how it could’ve wound up in a box of foreign coins at a yard sale in the Midwestern US. It’s one of my favorite coins even though I can’t tell the date.
I remember back in the 70’s going on holiday to Great Yarmouth and staying in caravan camps which would always have the obligatory arcades. Upon entering you would have to exchange your new pence for these old pennies as they hadn’t got round to converting the slot machine’s over.
First time watching these videos and enjoyed every minute thanks for the information. Please where do you get the albums from? French currency circulated in the Chanel isles until 1834 when English silver took over, a pound was equivalent to 26 French £ivres of 20 sous each, so the Jersey 'Penny' was initially until 1877 fashioned as 1/13th of a shilling and equal to 2 French sous. From 1877 it was 1/12th of a Shilling and the old 3d was 1/4th of a shilling. The silver was standard UK silver.

My first UK penny, I think, was a QV 1899 - in a stream, on the clay base. It is in pretty good shape! Anyway... soon my comment will be as long as your video, which I enjoyed! Cool, the other coins you found... even a South African! Lastly, is it my imagination or - many of the early decade KGV - is his bust ghosted on the reverse?? Thanks... I'll go on now... and try and build a date run too... imagine in a few years time... someone finding my collection of worn coins and tossing it into the furnace to make a copper bar!
i like the coins with holes because people used to wear their money on their necklace so it was harder to steal - so it really feels like a bit of history to see one
