If I have to hard cast immolate on multiple targets at the start of every aoe pack I am not playing destruction. Simple as that.

@@WilsonProductions14 You are right. I am not skilled enough at tolerating awful spec design. Maybe my standard is higher than most people because I played the spec back when it was designed well in MoP.
@Banelock I could not agree with you more. Maybe if it was instant cast. Feels bad when almost all other classes just start AOEing and Destro lock has to sit there and cast dots

@@WilsonProductions14Low effort. I've played every iteration of Warlock since WoTLK, frequently parsing 90s on average across various specs. It's not about skill, it's about quality of life. Hold the L.

Drop Crashing Chaos if you're not going 2 minute build and put a point in Burn to Ashes. Crashing is just not making the cut if you basically have close to 100% uptime on BtA in ST or prio Havoc cleave, and thinking of the bosses coming, i'd gladly take BtA (3. in Nokhud, 2. and last in Azure, first two in Uldaman, 3. in Ruby, 1., 3. and 4. in Brackenhide). Only Halls an Neltharus don't have bosses where it's worth, but they have quit some prio target where it is. One could also argue to put 2 in BtA and one in Master Ritualist, but i'd make that choice based on the groups DPS profile.
diabolic embers seems to help alot getting your initial shard regen rolling for aoe pulls too

the only pro for hellcaller is being able to dot enemies without facing them like with immolate

In my opinion all Warlock speccs are feeling a little weird in DF. They dont have flow. But I'm just a Casual and I tried mage and have the same feeling. I hope its gonna get better in WW.
I want aff to really blow up. I just don't enjoy destro, and demo is super awesome and love, just would like to enjoy aff too
I would have enjoyed destro much more if:
Gwd was on soul shard spent and in the class tree, this is one of the changes i disliked the most, a flat cdr... Might as well make infernal a 2 min cd then.
Channel demon generated 1 soul shard frag for each bolt
Cata was in place of pyrogenics
Main demon cd summons were baseline
Soul fire was a insta cast with immolate ticks, or incinerate casts reducing the cd of it but from the start, or have a chance to reset it completely, depending on whether they want to steer towards a proc type, or a cdr type passive.
Madness was back but with a slightly longer duration
I would enjoy crashing chaos more if it was a buff that applied through the duration of infernal, where it alternates a normal soul shard spender with a beefed up one that costs 1 less. So basically 1 or 2 normal depending on how the balance would work out, and 1 that does extra damage and costs 1 less. The 6 reduced cost at once would sometimes lead to wasting shards, but at least it would actually do something for your rotation, by spreading them out like this, it would be much more difficult to waste shards while also modifying your rotation further during your infernal.
And then re balanced damage based on these new parameters.
I'm not happy at all with warlock direction as a whole, mostly because i see a lot of potential, but this expansion they just kept taking away from what i like in warlock, replaced it with boring stuff, and not even fixing the problems that lock had in the first place.
Like, look at what they did to tyrant for demo, when the problem really was your usual cd stacking. Reign of tyranny would have been fine even if you had access to gwd in the class tree, the problem was portal on top+class trinket+pi. That was the actual issue, having 2 burst oriented cds in the talent tree+being able to stack them with a multitude of modifiers.
If this is not a bad direction for warlock, i don't know what is.
4.5 million DPS on that first pull, holy fuck. I'm convinced.

LOL that version of destro warlock was extremely broken. I don't know if they'll every bring it to that kind of level of broken again.

Seeing as we are once again using the Chaos Incarnate talent and also using the Vault tier set, I would definitely believe so!

Blizzard is going to nerf the Fuck out of Destro and its well deserved lmao. saw a Video from Petko (one of the best Elemental shaman in the world) and he just could not compete with Destro warlocks and Shadow priest in AoE. like its Night and Day difference.
I'll just never find ROF spam enjoyable regardless of what the numbers look like.
