Superb! Keep improving those super reds and put some super red dumbo fins on them too, then super red halfmoon, super red crown tail, and super red rosetail and delta tail as well!!! :)
those are pretty fish. my silver molly gave birth about a month ago, and the babies are getting so big! theres only 3 in a 5 gallon with a bubbler and heater right now and i don't plan on letting her breed again, but they really are adorable. i think they're all gonna be on the father's side, dalmation. there is sadly a runt and he's not growing as much.. kinda grey and really small.. poor guy. if he lives on i'll probably keep him and sell the other two when they're mature.
hey! The filter I am using is a cheap aquaclear filter as long as it isn't too strong like the marineland types... Its just filled with some sponges and media. the heater i always trust is eheim they are always accurate. very good.
Surprised to see so many blues, and also the cambodians, an orange and some whites. All beautiful imo. What do you feed your fry? I'm new to breeding bettas and have never gotten any fry past the 2 month mark. They always grow very slow. I feed microworms for the first 4 weeks then after that over about a week or so I switch them to ground freeze dried blood worms and betta flakes. It's always at that point they start to die off. I saw you had micro pellets. Is that better for fry? At what age do you switch them over to the pellets? What tips can you give me?
like I told people below the blues are from a separate spawn of similar age. thank you. and i fed my fry brine shrimp micrworms. around 1 month i fed pellets and worms (grindals, white worm, black worm) . thats because you feed too much microworm. microworm should be fed at most 2 weeks in my opinion more brine shrimp is best. water changeoften too. freeze dried and betta flakes arent going to do. frozen food better than dry in my opinion
So just feed the microworms for the first couple of weeks then switch to black, white, or grindal worms? I've never used brine shrimp because they seem like a pain and I've had many breeders tell me they don't use brine shrimp at all either. At what age is it safe to switch them over to pellet and flakes? Thanks.
well if youre in an area with daphnias id go with that otherwise its best to hatch brine shrimp. brine shrimp has a lot higher protein content. so feel brine shrimp from day 1-1 month. microworms feed sparingly around first or last two weeks. either way dont overfeed or ventral fins can be gone. 1 month just feed other worms and flakes etc itll take time from 1 month+
that is why i water change often and feed them with clean food that I make myself. all eqp are sanitized. I never had a problem with diseases. so that's really a choice.
can I have a question !! actually I have two I am from the philippines and I want to buy some fighting fish and I want some instructions after putting the egg of the female in the bubbles of the male what to do next ?? how many days will it hatch and how many months or years does a baby beta fish goes into an adult one???!!
What's with the US restrictions? I know they use Cities as an excuse on arrowana formosa, even though the micro-chipped farm bred have little to do with the true wild ones. Is it the same here with betta? Canada rules!!
Yep. Any cross will work as long as male is bigger than female and it isn't melano male whose infertile. Yes it will you'll get half moon crowntails with slight web reduction
Mr Me i would not cross if you want to develop your own line research more about line breeding crosses should be done between two good bloodlines or else you're just causing more problems
I am actually struggling with it from around 4 months or even more so my question is what do you think about conditioning ?? 2 week is compulsory or it is okay with 1 week only because I spawned my female all the times after 1 week of conditioning.. Unfortunately in the latest spawn the male ate all the eggs again (he was a new one !!) whatsoever I think so that the lack of conditioning period might be a problem that the eggs are not developed properly but I have no idea scientifically. BTW what do you think ??? Is that possible ?? For how much time did you conditioned your female and male bettas ?? thank you for helping Regards, Kanha..

of course. if your temperature is above 75 degrees to 85 you're good. Make sure the temperature of water does not change much

You culled them? Did you kill them or sell them?
Major culling? Did you kill the rest? You could have given them to teachers, friends, or even local pet stores(not petco of course).
What's with the US restrictions? I know they use Cities as an excuse on arrowana formosa, even though the micro-chipped farm bred have little to do with the true wild ones. Is it the same here with betta? Canada rules!!
what food your fry bettas????
I need one pair like that.do you sell them and how much are they.tks
it was a second batch with some fry that were okay so i let them live with the batch.
nice!!
you have to separate them as soon as possible or else the chance of them catching a disease that can whip out an entire patch is very high.
awesome bro
what to feed when they are 3 weeks old
4:38 major culling? you killed all but 2?
no i didnt cull them i just kept these 2 for breeding the rest were sold i kept 5 females
you see how i thought that tho? i was thinking of trying to cross half moon with crown thing it would work?
Yep. Any cross will work as long as male is bigger than female and it isn't melano male whose infertile. Yes it will you'll get half moon crowntails with slight web reduction
thanks not to much info about crossing
Mr Me i would not cross if you want to develop your own line research more about line breeding crosses should be done between two good bloodlines or else you're just causing more problems

Where did the blues come from? 2 reds parents should not have blue fishes
Ese tiene que criar de nuevo de esa linea
is there anymore for sale?
Blue babies from red parents....
So I guess blue is a recessive trait for more than just eye colour.
Babby Babbyson Nope the blue babies where from a separate pair, they were just put together because they were similarly aged
