Ngl, since you let the song play out I thought the “reaction” wasn’t really a reaction but then at the end you delve into your thoughts about it all and I really enjoyed your thoughts. You had really good commentary on his song and its relation to what’s going on in society. Cheers!

Thanks for watching the video! Jon is one of my all time favs and I try to be as real as I can in these videos. I did see the 14 minutes making of doc that he posted before the song dropped and had that on repeat for days before, so I already knew some of the lyrics and the hook pretty well. I got a bit obsessed with the song for a good week.

If you do more music reviews. Listen to it, for the first time, with us. You know? For the full experience.
I know that being without JB for 6 years, I'd probably do the same ngl 😅. Anyway, that was it lol.

Great Review. I love how you always give your honest opinion with out bashing or alienating anyone. In regards to the last few minutes of this video, I have always had the philosophy of "If you put good out into the world, good will come back to you."

Little late to your review but I appreciate your view on this. I see many people recently getting hung up on the religious aspects of this song and his episode of the George Janko podcast but even as a non-religious man myself I personally love the messaging and hearing how passionate he is when it comes to his religion and how that informs his music. Just because he attributes his growth and newfound freedom to Yahweh or God doesn’t mean you can’t relate to that base feeling and message of growth and freedom and it’s saddening that people are so hung up on making sure that the religious messages in his life and music ruin the experience for them. Base line is that It’s refreshing to hear someone look at the music and the overall message it’s conveying rather than focusing on the means and how it’s right or wrong (in this case religion) because it doesn’t matter how he gets the message across as long as it keeps making me tear up with overwhelming emotion lmao. I’ve been listening since the human condition came out and I’ve seen him live 2 times myself. And to this day no one has come close to Jon as my #1 favorite artist and it’s because he has mastered the art of being unapologetically himself. Look no further than the song “Conversations with my wife” to see that point spelled out for you. (Sorry if anyone actually read through this damn Bible of a comment but this has been on my mind since the podcast episode released and I saw the hate comments start appearing so I figured I should talk about it somewhere)

I appreciate you coming to the video and that you responded so well to it. I def make it a point to be completely myself here on the channel and want it to be a place where others feel comfortable to do the same. Jon coming back is a dream come true! I can't wait for the acoustic version of the song :)

I've been a jon fan since before I knew he was behind most songs I loved and listened to🙌. I agree, its also about the childlike wonder and carefree spirit we used to have, but being able to find it again and it gracefully fuels my soul with courage and power to do the things I've been too shy or scared to do! Anywhoo thank you for the vid and your opinion, I agree👏✨🙌✨!

Great take on explaining how culture is constantly changing/shifting with the anime analogy. I was definitely in that bc as a kid everyone was bagging on anime watchers so I never even tried to watch any of it until I was older and come to find out that I was missing out on so much. Now that’s all I mainly watch when it comes to shows.
It’s amazing to see how this is all Biblical as well. I’m a believer in Jesus myself and today at Sunday service my pastor was talking about how culture is constantly shifting/changing, relating it to how if you put your trust and faith in what culture says it’s like building your house on the sand vs listening to Jesus, putting your trust and faith in Him, being like building your house on the rock(solid foundation). Matthew 7:24-27 for those who want to read the Bible verses in full context:)

I watched the preview video a ton before so I already knew the chorus and such. I am just a fan who loves that he is back making music.
