This video hopes to show the highlights of that railtour, as well as what is was like to be a passenger onboard, for one last ride!

Great watch! Very much a LOL moment seeing myself in the corner during the shop section.
Thank you very much! It is always funny when you see yourself in the background of other people's videos!
Definatley is, it’s happend before with a video of 73962 at my station, You could see 10 year old me legging it down the platform for photos on a tablet. Maybe We may bump into eachother again.
I miss the class 455, as well as class 456, plus class 319, i had the honour to have been on all 3 of these trains as a little kid, it's sad to see them go, such a shame the next generation wouldn't get to experience these legendary locomotives 🚂, but youtube is around so when ever they watch a train video, they will know that these had a lot of power, amazing sound 😍😍😍, all 3 trains famous in their own right. I wish all 3 trains could have stayed around a bit longer, but it is what it is. All good things must come to a end .
An excellent well-put-together video with clear commentary! Great stuff :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice video! Met one of your parents at Epsom when I went to see the 455!
So I heard! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Nice video! Very well done! I and NetworkPanda met your mum at Epsom Station to see this tour!!! She's really nice and I'm sure you and the rest of your family are! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 If you're ever in Surrey do let me know so I can hopefully pop down with my parents to meet you 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎 stay safe!

Thank you for your kind comment! I've watched your video from Epsom and thought it was very good. I would definitely be interested in collaborating at some point in the future!
@@MikeWillSee Okay! Thanks for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
Also, agreed about the air conditioning (or lack, thereof), I was in Coach B and even with all the windows open, I was absolutely drenched from sweating the whole journey, haha
It wasn't too bad when the train was moving, because you'd get a breeze through the windows, but as soon as it stopped for more than 30 seconds it became pretty miserable!
God yeah it go so hot sitting outside London Bridge aswell (i was in coach B)
genuinely a good video
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed!
I was on the class 313 farewell rail tour with units 313201/213 doing the rail tour & I bought some Intercity ties
Ooh very nice!
Scooby been waiting for this
South Western railway have their farewell 455 tour planned for the year 2100 when they enter their 701`s into service.
Which do you think will come first?
A. SWR finally retires their 455s
B. Heat death of the universe
C. HS2 gets completed

I would have liked a bit of history of/info about the Class 455, inc such things as to why it's been called the Metro Marauder. But that's primarily because I'm not English and have only started to learn some things about the Railways of Britain some 5 or so years ago. However, this video is the only one - as of the night to the 20th May, 2022 - about the Class 455 farewell, at least in my sub box. So there's a big Plus. :D Nice video nonetheless.
Yes that's a very good point. I try to include background stories in my videos but I perhaps could have gone a bit further in this one. I'll aim to include more information/history in any similar videos I make in the future!
Nice video. You may already know this, but Southern ran 455's to Charing Cross until 2009! 😀
I actually was not aware of that, thanks for letting me know!
@@MikeWillSee No worries - glad I mentioned it!
What happened to the 508 trains before I miss the 4 subs before, when these came into service I rode the last demu on the Erige, tunbridge line and I think the demos were 40 then
Moved north to work on merseyrail, although they were also retired from merseyrail in the last few days, with their fleet now consisting of just 507s and 777s
I saw myself inside the train in the cab
Ooh nice!
my friend is in the video lolol 1:19
Well spotted!
The end was a bit to train nerdy lol
it's to be expected from any railtour tbh
Is life new train
A year later the class 313s Join them
Yeah I'm sad that I wasn't able to go on the farewell tour for them as well!
