Unfortunately, as we don't carry soutache braid, I won't be able to do a video on it. If we ever carry it, I will be sure to show you how to use it!
The glue that was mentioned is called E6000 and we sell several different sizes on our website. You can find it in the Adhesives section.
You'll want to use about 18 inch lengths of cord for each foot of braid. That's not including a knot or doubling at the top, just the actual cord to be braided. It gets reduced by about a third when braided. So if you wanted 8 inch lengths for this bracelet, you could start with about a foot in each strand. You could definitely do it with one spool of each color. Full project instructions with materials will be up on our website soon too.
It will vary with the exact cord you're using and with your tension, but I've found that I lose about half my length in this braid. So to start with, try a little more than double your finished length.

Hi. Love your videos. At 4:24, you mention using what sounded like "gum arabic glue' and if you don't have it, then use 6000." Maybe I didn't hear right, but I tried to find it on your website and could not find it.

I asked Julie, who's done a lot more kumihimo than I have, and she recommends using size 18 Super Lon cord and a standard 8 warp round kumihimo braid for a similar braid size.
@Wolfgang Rohrbacher Hi, the glue should hold up fine to wear. My only caution would be if you do a lot of swimming with it on and it's exposed to chemicals, getting wet, drying, etc. repeatedly. Our team has had great experience with this glue overall.
Really Cool video - my only question is: How about the glue? It can be used daily without falling apart? Whats your experience with it?

great tutorial, like the bracelet idea but.... I would NEVER touch E6000~! it is a total carcinogen, but nothing works as well as E6000
how much of the suede cord did you use in total for the braids? if you have one spool of each colour, is that enough?

Is there any other closure you can recommend besides the capsule beads cap? :)
You could definitely experiment with other closures, but the capsule caps are the best method I have found for a neat and tidy closure.
Beadaholique Can you also clamp down the end caps while the glue is drying or after the glue is dry for a more secure seal?

Would this work for a ship wheel charm as well
+Dylan Asakura I think it really depends on the shape of the wheel charm and if it has spokes. The anchor works well because it "hooks" to the other side, you would need to experiment and see if the wheel would create a secure enough closure.
