No, but I’ve been a Canadiens fan for over 20 years, and I’m from Florida. The one time I saw Montreal play was against the Lightning in Tampa. Surreal to see them here now!
Excellent. Ty. I am in the same age bracket as your dad, or a bit older and I witnessed all the Stanley Cups Montreal Won in the 1970's. I was a Religion and every home in our neighborhood would be watching the games also. Glad to see a guy your age carrying on the 'Tradition'. Go Habs Go!
Crazy!! Thanks Brent. I can only imagine what it was like - I've watched hundreds of videos and heard stories from my dad. Let's hope the glory days come back!
My boyfriend was so happy today evening when i called him because he was watching the game at his dad's place and he is 100% canadian waiting to get the cup ❤🇨🇦❤
As a longtime Boston Bruins fan, I was so hoping the Habs and Bruins could make it to the Finals. We are normally in the same division, so could only m in the 1stvor 2nd round (these 2 teams have played each other more than any other combo in NHL history.. les Canadiens dominated for years,, but Boston has had the up poll er hand lately. Montreal had the lowest points of any of the 16 teams that qualified for the playoffs, so Montreal really over-achieved, including dumping the Leafs (Cupless since 1967!l. Boston lost in thex2ndcround. That Game 3 was a disappointment, and sad the Covid Cultvtyrants restricted the crowd to 15% of capacity (the tyrants in Ontario and Quebec were especially bad. I have only been to the Forum on St Catherine Street, not the Bell Centre. I was going to try this year if Boston had made it. I am pushing for the Florida Panthers to be moved to QC, so Les Nirdiques will return, and the great Atlantic Division will have 4 Canadian and 4 American teams - 4 from the Original 6! It is a good first step, after a long drought, since beating Calgary in 1993 for their last Cup. They are still far ahead of the next challenger (more than double), but in the 1950s and 1960s they dominated, so it is hard to adjust. In those days, just about every afrench Canadian p,aged became a Canadien. Now, they get spread all over. Players like Mario Lemieux and even Sid Crosby from NS would likely have been a Hab. I grew up watching Hockey Night in Canada on Daturday nights, so MTL and TOR were on every week. I never liked the Leafs, but loved the speed and passing abi.ity of the "Flying Frenchmen" as they were known. A HS classmate is related (cousin or nephew) of the late, great Jean Beliveau (#4). They went to Montreal to pay their respects when he passed away a few years ago. Pierre still likes hockey, but not as much as me, and his wife could car less, so he is always amazed I know more about Canadiens history than he does. I love hearing the announce m ents en francais and tne bi-lingual version of "O, Canada." Except for vs Boston, I always root for the Habs. Glad you got to experience that. Several p,ayers from my au of Michigan hockey team (most NCAA hockey yields of any school) have played for the Canadiens - and loved the city and the great fans. Allons!
Have you ever been to a Stanley Cup Finals Game?

Great video. Seems to have been a great atmosphere. Even if you unfortunately lost. I am almost a little envious of this experience 😄. Keep it up!
It was intense and awesome, regardless of the outcome. Thanks Volker!
A little envious?? Come on dude.

You are so lucky (even though we lost). How did you get tickets? BTW, Toronto is the mecca for hockey! 🤗 GO HABS!!!!!🇨🇦
I found a way to get them! And Toronto is absolutely not the mecca for hockey lol. MTL all the way 🙌🏻
They are very excited. Today Brazil vs Peru plays, but it's cold and nobody cares!
We're focused on hockey today!
