I found this song and I thought it would fit the whole Romelza dynamic in the latter part of season 2, so this video mainly revolves around those scenes, but I also tried to make some parallels with season 1 throughout the song, to show that despite everything, despite his being a total a*s most of the time, he really loves her, he always comes back for her. One of the things I like about this show is that the characters, especially Ross, are all flawed, the relationships are as well, the marriage between Ross and Demelza is not perfect, but like Ross himself said, is real, it is so real you can almost touch it. Despite all the hurt, you can feel the love from both parts. It is a flawed but real love felt by two people with big hearts but also big flaws - Ross, I'm looking at you. I wish Ross were more capable of showing his love to Demelza, because he really does love her. He takes her for granted at times, but he would be totally lost without her and he knows it, once he gets his head out of his a*s. Plus, Aidan and Eleanor are so beautiful and so great.
I am not totally happy with this video, though for some reason I think my favourite part is the last one. I hope you enjoy it! :)

Season 2 he learned this life he has is real. He married a real woman not a replacement for Elizabeth.
I keep returning to this video over and over. After the series was over until next year (weep, weep) I started wondering what Demelza could have done which might have brought Ross to his senses (since he had been so arrogant and such an idiot). However, other complications would no doubt arisen if she had gone this route. Ross left late at night, a time when no lady should have ridden unescorted for fear of foot paths. But we all know she could beat him up (just ask Ross). What if, after he left, she packed a valise for Master Jeremy (he is so adorable!!) and her, wrote Ross--"You wanted me to get out of your way, so I have." and left her wedding ring on the note on the table so someone would be able to see it first thing the morning he came back. I cannot remember how far it was between Nampara an Verity's home, but I would have gone there, as opposed to her father's house. All Demelza had to say was that she found out Ross had committed adultery and she had to get away for awhile. Verity and Demelza have such a special bond. I think I would have gone straight to her for help and understanding. But since this is Poldark who knows what would have happened if she did this.

Honestly, I think Ross needed to come to his senses on his own, as he has done, he had to realise his mistake, that he had acted as a complete ass and that he needed to fix it 'cause Demelza is the love of his life, so I think any action Demelza would've taken might have made him apologise, but he might still have doubts about how he felt about Elizabeth, so it really wouldn't have solved anything permanently. Maybe it would've just complicated things.

Why would he belittle his wife with that comment to that witch Lizzy. And I have a question to anyone who knows the possible answer. What do you think Ross thought of Lizzy when she asked Ross :can't a woman love two men, can't a man love two women?
I can tell you what happened in the books. Firstly, that’s not what she said. She actually told him:
‘I never thought you were dead. I just thought I loved Francis better. Soon I realised my mistake’
She never said the : ‘cannot a woman love to men’ thing, nor did she say : ‘ a piece of myheart will always be yours’.
But to answer your question, in the book, Ross is really angry at what she said. He thinks, that even though he still finds her attractive, ‘he likes her less’ and realised he had warmer feelings towards Demelza, as he never thought Demelza capable of this.
