    I love the Cardinals.I'm amazed how quickly your birds take to a new feeder.

    Thanks for the review! 🙌 While I appreciate the insights, I've had quite a different experience with Birdfy. Spent $500+, faced lens issues, got DOA replacements, and now told it's 'too expensive' for a 3rd replacement. NO WORKING feeders after 4 months. Ghosted by support, my trust is shattered. They're not honoring the warranty, and they told me to go to Amazon for a refund, but the return period expired during the 4 months I was waiting on a functional replacement. Two months of a working feeder isn't worth it. Just sharing my experience. #NetvueBirdfeederIssues #CustomerServiceFail #DOAWarrantyReplacements

    Neat! Definitely satisfying 😁 Just a tad pricey for my budget. But hey, maybe there will be a black Friday deal 🤞 You, Ryan and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving 😊

    I have found that Cole's Squirrel Sauce has helped with feeders that have been accessible to squirrels. I think It would work well with this product. Also big is the velcro strap? The trees in my yard are bigger.

      The strap isn’t huge, but there is tree mounting gear that you could use instead!

    Very cool idea to have a smart feeder, wanting to get one myself but little skeptical due to couple of reasons. 1) have a bunch of squirrels and they tend to eat the seeds so might not be good idea with so many of them around 2) the seed holder seems a bit small, on some days I get like 20-30 birds and may needs frequent refill. I have a couple more questions, 1) does the camera take pictures based on some motion detection?? 2) can you get a bigger sized one if available??

    • @BadgerlandBirding
      @BadgerlandBirding  Рік тому +1

      I would recommend mounting on a post with a squirrel baffle because the squirrels will definitely take over and eat all your seeds. The seed reservoirs on all smart feeders do seem rather small but it actually took longer than I thought for birds to deplete the seeds. The camera takes short videos based on motion for you to check out. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a version with a bigger seed reservoir but I think it’s something they should make in the future but I don’t know if they will.

    I love cardinals but we don’t have any in N Idaho. I got this feeder as a gift but it seems like a lot,to do to set up. I am 77 and almost blind. Not sure where to install it. Especially since we get so much snow

      I could see it being a lot under those circumstances! Maybe a relative could come over and help you set it up, or a neighbor?

    Is the TecHNAXX the only camera bird feeder that you do not need a cell-phone or wifi for? They shold make more for people that do not have or need a cell phone.

    I bought this for my daughter who loves birds. It worked great and she was thrilled for several days. Then the camera wouldn't recharge and now she can't get it to recharge at all. Sending it back to Amazon. Apparently, this isn't a new issue if you read the reviews. I think this product is made in China and many products made in China have great tech...but not great battery life. Do you have feedback on any other cameras that maintain their charge and recharge well?

      @BadgerlandBirding  Рік тому

      The battery in this one worked great for me. Did you check that your charging cables didn’t have any issues?

    Use safflower seeds and you will not have a squirrel issue. Less waste, more expensive, but 99% squirrel free.

    • @BadgerlandBirding
      @BadgerlandBirding  Рік тому +1

      It also limits what bird species will come to your feeder

      @@BadgerlandBirding Yes it will. Do you want English House Sparrows? Starlings? Squirrels?
      Safflower attracts a large list of native song birds but keeps the trash birds away.
      d species that regularly feed on safflower seeds include:
      Black-capped chickadees
      Black-headed grosbeaks
      Blue jays
      Carolina chickadees
      Downy woodpeckers
      Evening grosbeaks
      House finches
      Indigo buntings
      Mourning doves
      Northern cardinals
      Purple finches
      Red-bellied woodpeckers
      Rose-breasted grosbeaks
      Tufted titmice
      White-breasted

      Is your feeder close enough to your Wi-Fi router? I had connectivity issues in the first place I tried it.
