They supposedly shot shrapnel when the airbags are deployed. The car was made in existence almost 20yrs prior to recognizing their airbag malfunction. Injury lawsuits would cost them a lot more in some cases than doing recalls.
Yeah, that’s pretty much standard practice. If a car just randomly catches fire, car brands will determine the cause of the fire. If the car is new, it has a warranty covering the damages.

They're actually some of the most well made cars in the world, this is the first instance of something like this in the duration one the company's long and storied history. Absolute volumes ahead of other bespoke hypercar manufacturers. And no other company would hand build and deliver a brand new $4M car with their compliments.

No, low speed driving shouldn’t result in ANY kind of combustion regardless of how long the drive was or how hot the road was. High pressure hydraulic fluid combusts around 300-600*F so something went critically wrong somewhere.

Once I learned carbon fiber panels are EXTREME conductors of electricity I now do not want any carbon fiber body panels. These kinds of accidents are happening to other cars too because of electrical shorts sparking on the panels and igniting any leaking fluid.
Btw, the fire was caused from brake fluid. Jesko has that issue and koenigsegg said to all owners to get to a koenigsegg dealership or not drive the car

The 3 cylinder block is designed with the cylinders so close together, the only thing separating them is the cylinder sleeves, deleting the oil passages between cylinders to keep the pistons cool. Oil squirters under the pistons don't provide sufficient cooling to the heads, leading to premature head gasket failure
