Where can I get that steel frame where the brackets install? I dont see it on my dishwasher. Looks like the installers threw those out while installing and now the dishwasher falls out when u open the door 🤦🏻♂️
That's called an Undercounter Mounting Bracket. It's for granite countertops since you can't drill into those. You can order it online. You don't need it for a wood/fiber countertop.
@@entropy11 Thanks, been struggling with this! So what do we do with a wood countertop? My new place has adishwasher that isn't attached and falls forward, but no obvious way to attach it, and all directions I manage to find use this undercounter mounting bracket that I don't have (and until you, didn't even know the name of)
@@swiftonespeaks for a standard counter you use mounting clips which screw into the underside of the counter. They are specific by manufacturer and model so you will need to go to the manufacturer for new clips
I personally find it unsafe to put the metal brackets this way on some of the dishwashers. Some Samsung dishwashers have the push buttons on the upper side of the dishwasher door. So, when the door is closed and you want to push a button, you risk to injure your finger/nail by that metal bracket, that what happened to me. Either buttons should be installed on the front side of the door or the brackets should be placed just at the very ends of the door on the upper side.

Pull the dishwasher out slightly put the new brackets on, slide back in, what's with the turning the breaker off and disassembling the entire unit lol

u mean that flipping off the breaker isnt enough precaution itself? You have to disconnect all teh power lines as well? Seems like overkill.
pretty sure he said if you don't have slack to pull your dishwasher you need to uninstall it....

Neither one of you were paying attention to the video, "IF you don't have enough slack to just pull it out, disconnect everything"
probably needed more slack to move machine out, but I think unplugging from wall is sufficient
