Hi Electroheads! Thank you for the amazing video! We will provide you a free sample of Blizwheel Pro around next March. Sorry for not being able to provide it now. At present, the cost of a prototype is too expenisve for us to do so. We are busy working on the mass production. And when we complete our first mass produced Blizwheel E-Scooter, we will be able to send you one.
I just got mine. Went in on it for the portability because I tour for a living. You're right. It seems pretty dangerous to ride, especially for someone my age (!!!!?) I'm going to test it out for a while, but my better judgement says I should pass it on to someone who bounces better.
I've decided it's not for me. I'm thinking a younger, experienced skate-boarder type might be able to ride it better than me. Their are actually some good design elements that make it a good start for a future portable ride. @@Electroheads
I use a 7.5kg /16lb electric longboard for my 1st-mile commute. This would be perfect since I do a few transfers between bus, subway, and shuttle. Awesome design that looks like camera tripod gear when compact. Also, the overall IP rating and rubber (?) wheels would definitely be an improvement over my skateboard & it's 90mm urethane wheels on wet road conditions.
2 yrs later, the kickstarter was a failure. backers complained about quality control issues, safety hazards, and some still not getting theirs. came across this video looking for lightweight scooters. found only only 2 kinds with reviews... the segway air t15 & dynamic scooter b which goes by many names like the daibot x6, or hk x6 or the jowua (marketed to tesla owners). all of them look the same.
It would be cool if you could use it as a power bank while at work to charge mobile devices. Considering it's small size, it wouldn't take up much space on your desk.
They need to improve on this cause i'd be in the market for one. improve the range and then when you get cought by the police , quickly fold it down and hide it somehwere. or when you go shopping you dont have to find a way to lock it somehow , you can just put it in the trolly.
This would be so convenient for me to ride to college and back by putting it in my bag when I'm there. However, I don't want to get points on my provisional licence if I get stopped on the way.
@@debilepskihiphop This is a myth, I haven't got the link at hand but the police answered about it. Do you think if you ride a motorbike or car on the pavement you can't get points either? The penalty is the same for riding a motor vehicle without registration or insurance anywhere on public land.
@@CycleCalm I was issued a statement by the police saying they'll fine you whil you're riving on the road with it, not the pavement. I'm sure the met police will hand out points like free candy, because the met police are bored and relish the opportunity to screw with the UK's youth. A lot of police don't even seem to care and won't actually bother you unless someone reports you
@@CycleCalm the exact quote was something along the lines of, riding along the road with an electric scooter will result in fines and/or points on your license as you are using a vehicle on the road that isn't insured. If caught using on a public walkway, such as a pavement or in a public park, then a fine will be issued and/or the scooter may be confiscated. As electric scooters are classed as PLEVs, or personal light electric vehicles, they don't have the same classification as cars under the law. They're closer to a bicycle and if you actually read into UK law, they shouldn't be legal either. Either way, if you run into a police officer (outside of London) chances are they'll just ignore you unless A) they're really bored B) have been called out to talk to you C) you're riding in an unsafe and deliberately assholish way. My experience with the police has always been pleasant, I've never been fined and I've still got my scooter and my lisence is safe.
It's just incredible, that for more than 15 years just one or two Chinese small companies are going in the right direction, meaning a backpack (even office-style) with wheels instead a too tiny scooter, which inevitably will have too small wheels. However, a lot of effort and money is put in wrong directions, so those guys left seem to not find a good solution to such a simple problem with the backpack-with-wheels: just hide the wheels too when packing it up and provide a bit of cushion for the handle, so that not to hurt when taking the backpack on the back. But then, soon we'll discover weight is crucial, so carbon-fiber is a must, the new innovative hollow rubber for wheels, special extremely light batteries -like the ones for drones, so hundreds of patents and lot of knowledge, money and research. So definitely not children-play on fund-raising platform, but it would be really worth it... Even if too expensive-product in the end, is the only way it could exist, under 2 kg, and a backpack of itself, as we want to carry other things too, not the scooter, but the scooter to carry us plus the backpack, except only when jumping in a train or bus... But due to the price, only mass-production and heavy concurrent market could make it worth the money, so only giants like Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung could do it.
Looks interesting. But those tiny wheels are not suited for any surface thats not in a perfect condition. Also, after the first use, you are not going to put it in a backpack or on the desk, cause it will be dirty for that.
Student in sheffield, definitely too many potholes for this thing😂 ive had my Pure Air for a year now around sheff and in all honesty theyre not that big here just yet
Got some self esteem issues if you worried what other ppl think while you riding. Also electric skateboards have similar or smaller sized wheels and people get around on them
It would be cool if....you could like.... drop it and it would open up and land perfectly using self balancing tech shinanigans. Like the Pitbull hoverboard in BTTF2. Apart from that the packaging is on the limit of what I'd call acceptable. They could have made it a little wider and still ended up with something that's just as portable.
As a light aircraft flyer this would be great for when you get to airfields for zapping into towns for a coffee or the like. The small wheels may pose a problem though with anything but sealed surfaces, the price? Well it’s probably not that bad if it’s a quality built product that has longevity unlike some of the cheap Ch***** crap on the market. Thanks for the look.🦘👍
I have a bit of a foot disablity, would I be able to ride this at an airport or take it on a plane? I miss travelling but I can't walk that far and dont like asking for a wheelchair.
Agree! On British roads? I DON'T THINK SO! probably end up with a broken Leg, s shoulder or something worse. (Probably funeral transport I would guess) ....
I would love to ride to campus and back on my private owned e scooter! When when WHEN will they be legal... I am using the Voi ones right now but there isn't always a scooter available for me and too many quirks wit the Voi ones like some CYCLE PATHS *CYCLE* paths not being ridable zones. can you believe it?
As often is the case, you have what is clearly great engineering, but grossly underpowered. Even the "PRO" model, as so many designers like to name their top model versions, is about 100 Watts under the sub minimum required to move around North Americans. Yes, folks, we often way up to 350 LBS and are above 6 feet in height. This requires a better solution. Great concept and well executed, but underpowered.
I weigh 175 lb and am under 6 ft. Would be great for me. You can't expect anything to be compact for anyone over 200 lbs and over 6ft.... so just buy a regular scooter...
This would have very limited use, none of it on the road. Maybe a long driveway or inside an airport. The turn signals must be hard to see and almost useless for something so small. I like the idea of something so portable, but those wheels are tiny.
In the comments section they mention that the wheels on the pro (the 2x300W version) are 100mm. In other e-scooter news, any chance of a review of any of the new Ninebot F series models? You can apparently buy the things from Halfords but there is a lack of English reviews at present.

This product will be literally useless. From the tiny battery, tiny wheels, tiny motor, and flimsy frame, it is 100% certain that nobody will get any use out of this scooter that they couldn't have gotten out of literally any other scooter. Do not waste your money on this toy. I would be shocked if it could even climb a 15 degree incline with those tiny motors.
Looks like it wouldn't be able to take anything but a perfectly smooth road. But anyway their claims sound like bollocks. I imagine this will be another hyped up KS that goes nowhere.
I have MS and I’m looking for a small ride when I need to pop to mall, hospital, GP, etc. when I don’t want to hobble around with a walking stick. I already have a Ninebot ES2 🛴 💕 but it’s a little heavy to carry (I never do) and just about fits in my car boot. Don’t think that will be allowed because of its battery size.
The battery capacity of this is 180Wh. The max capacity for carry-on, with the battery in the device is 160Wh
Balancing on a scooter does put strain on leg muscles depending on your disability
Needs a solid state battery and larger wheels 😂 also top speed should be 20 mph so it can match top speed of cars in school /home zones

X6 is loads bigger than this

really good concept, but these small wheels with that power is a recipe for disaster. And no way it will have 600W (maybe at peak power).
How long does it take to charge and how far will it go on a full charge?
