not much. dont expect the upward speakers to be that powerful, its just adding to the effects

Sir your reviews are always helpful in selecting the best home appliances. Recently I bought a zebronics 9500 pro model. The sound bar is defective. It's HDMI arc connection is not working and had connection issues in my sony 55 inch tv via Bluetooth mode and HDMI arc is not at all working. Did you face any issues like I faced? Waiting for my replacement item.

I previously had a Motorola AmphiSoundX 5.1 (not the Dolby one) soundbar, and honestly, I regret buying it. Since then, I've been searching for a good soundbar to pair with my projector. HDMI input is a must for me since my projector doesn't have ARC/eARC ports. I'm using the FireTV 4k Max.
I've had a few demos:
1. JBL Bar 1000 - Good but pricey.
2. JBL 5.1 - Liked it very much, good surround sound, clear vocals, and excellent bass.
3. Samsung Q800C - Impressive atmos effects but not as impressed with the bass compared to the 5.1.
4. JBL 9.1 - Shouldn't it be better than the 5.1? But in many reviews, they prefer the 5.1 over the 9.1.
I think the JBL 5.1 will be priced at Rs. 39999 on the 7th on Amazon, and we may get the JBL 9.1 for Rs. 49999 on the 7th on Flipkart.
Do you recommend the LG SP8A over the JBL 5.1? (I don't mind missing Dolby Atmos because most films have limited Atmos content, maybe below 15 minutes.)
The LG SP8A is a 2022 model, replaced by the SC9S, which is a 3.1.3 soundbar. I saw someone mention that it might even be better than the LG SP8A. Is there any chance you could review the SC9S before the sale? Also, can rear speakers be added to both the SP8A and SC9S?
I had decided to buy the JBL 5.1 at Rs. 39999. If I change my decision, would it still be worth it?

Sc9s doesn't have meridian. Atleast i didn't find it in the details.
I saw LG S95QR review by Andrew Robinson, that is top end LG soundbar as of now, with meridian tuning. He is not impressed with the soundbar, so we need to think twice before investing in LG soundbar I think. Since @VMone heard and review JBL 5.1 and LG SP8A he might have a better opinion. Lets wait until he reply
The third upward firing speaker is seriously magical. I had commented on your other video where you compared the Bose and the Sonos bars. If you would have seen the comments you would have got this sp8a for just 25k from reliance stores as they had the ganapati bappa offers going on. However I bought the LG SC9 for 35k from the same offer. Now the SC9 has all the features of sp8a plus this soundbar is IMAx enhanced and it also supports spacial audio and many more features and it is incredibly loud, it out-matches it's 400 wats RMS.

Buy any soundbar for any TV it will always be compatible. With this soundbar they supplied particular stand for that OLED TV that's why

@Vineet thanks for this amazing review. I have one question about 'Netflix Spatial Audio'. Netflix mentioned "NOTE: TVs or soundbars that use 5.1 surround sound or Dolby Atmos will play using that technology instead of spatial audio. On some TVs or devices, you may need to change the audio output setting from 5.1 to stereo to play using spatial audio. For more information, check with your device or audio equipment manufacturer."
Question is, can we change settings to stereo in this to use spatial audio? And what is actual difference between spatial audio vs dolby atmos while paying netflix? I am planning to use firestick 4k with LG 32 inch monitor using this soundbar.
For those asking whether rear speaker can work with LG SP8A. The answer is no. LG only allows soundbar with Y series which supports rear speaker. Like LG SP8YA supports rear speaker (which were being sold in overseas market)
Available in chroma and reliance digital (approx 25k)
Also it aupports lg soundbar app through which you can control the soundbar.
Since you seem to have some grasp on this subject and don't think Vineet is going to reply to every random comment . What is the big difference between Sp8a and sc9s.. Is sc9s only to be used with LG OLED Tvs.. I see that sc9s does not have meridian badge but they claim to support some wow orchestra mode .. my requirement is mostly for listening to music from UA-cam (70% times) and sometimes watch movies
@@kshashikantt sc9s has one more speaker. If your requirement is 70% UA-cam then go with sp8a and enjoy the music. It's a phenomenal experience. I have a room size of 20x15 and not able to beyond 50% of volume. I wonder how good it will perform if played at 75-80% of volume. But then I need a much bigger room.

Yes you can control bass and treble with remote and with soundbar app.
Subwoofer is 6.5 inch and has 220 watt RMS.

I recently got its demo from Croma and it sounded amazing, but as always I prefer to hear from you.. it comes with 5.1.2 without rear speaker and a spacefit technology which checks the rooms acoustics.. please do review this Iam extremely eager to see it

Dear The samsung q990b/xl is 11.1.4ch soundbar there is no comparision with this SP8A, samsung q990b/xl is far better then this becaus of the more channels , also there are no option to connect rear channel in LG SP8A soundbar.

Why is this better than the SC9S of 2023 ?? That one has 3 upward firing speakers with IMAX enhanced alongside dolby atmos. Supports LG's Wow orchestra as well. And a price difference of just 2-3 k.
Hopefully we get a reply to this by someone. I am confused between these 2 as well.

I have used both speakers- yas 209 and LG sp8a. Sound is lovely for both. But I think LG sounds better by a slight margin. The bass is a bit too punchy for LG - not that great for music. Yamaha had a lovely warm tone. LG is more hip sounding
I also miss controlling the LG soundbar directly with alexa, which I was used to do in Yamaha

Three months back I bought this Sound bar from Chroma for 24k after the card offer, you truly said I don't know why no one is talking about LG soundbars, but this the best, everything is as you mentioned and you missed few things, it has connected mobile app where you can configure the audio and AI room Calibration, which works like magic, play songs through wifi from your mobile and some more additional features. Killer sound bar for audiophiles.
I think mainly because these seem to be designed with considering oled tvs in mind.. For example my sony bravia protrudes 4 inches from the wall.. And if i were to wall mount this soundbar which is 5 inches in depth.. I think the up firing speakers will throw sound directly under my tv.. So perhaps only oled users can buy.. Otherwise you has to keep it on a table or something

Hdmi cable doesn’t come with this. Optical cable comes in box. I bought this but i feel the base is very low. Base lovers won’t like it. Woofer is so big with so less base which even normal BT speakers can produce. Not sure why everyone is liking this so much. In movie fighting scenes also no base produced

What about comparison with Obage CA1 and Zeb 9750. How will you rate them according to surround effect experience. I have listened to your reviews of these three and in this budget, choosing out of these three is difficult. I want to experience best surround effect in movies (of course bass as well) but consider first surround while watching movies and listening to music. Thank you.

I just bought the sp8a and i have to say it is good, i guess it is the meridian tuning that makes it excel in every aspect. Maybe lg made it hy mistake. Btw it is replacing my yas 209 soundbar but but in terms of vocal and clear sound Yamaha is better at same volume although the bass effects are really good with this one. Tried the sc9s but it did not sound as good as the sp8a.
So for my lg c2 , I shouldn't go with latest sc9s ? But rather choose this , I have been wondering for a long time now

Why did u replace yas 209 does it have better surround effect
@@vivekojha7886 actually both of them doesn have surround effect as 5.1 is downplayed as 2.1 only. But overall lg seemed better in the budget. I have moved 209 to a much smaller room. 209 for clarity and sp8 if you have dolby atmos content in a budget.

Got SP8A LG soundbar & installed yesterday ..first impression it’s perfect!! Even though not much review video for this sound bar I took the risk & it’s worth , thanks to Vineet ji. Note - ppl who wants more bass, this soundbar is not for them .. this is real pleasant sound & tuned to perfection.. While listening, we r soaked into it and it’s a great feeling ! Worth it !!

I have shortlisted LG SP8A based on your review and its comes with Meridian sound
And based on the latest model LG SC9S i planned to take this one but observed there is no branding of Meridian sound.
so what do you suggest latest model without meridian sound is better than SP8A ? Or Meridian sound really makes a difference

Sir, I already own this soundbar but needed some expert opinion. Should I buy the LG SPK8-S surround channel speaker to pair with this soundbar? Since this is a wireless surround speaker that can connect with the soundbar, will it be able to send atmos signals etc etc

at 8:41 have you connected Firetv 4k to HDMI Input port of Soundbar. Now the query is, If we watch Prime video Mission Impossible it shows HDR UHD but only plays @1080P. Have you observed it? However Disney + hotstar play 4K Dolby vision as expected. Have you tested it?

1. I have a Lg 70 inch Led which has only 2 hdmi ports which a normal Hdmi and EARC/ARC using this Sound Bar can I pass through 4K Max Amazon Tv fire stick.
2. Should I buy the 440 watt sound bar or the LG SP11RA 770 watt sound Bar.
3.Can I connect extra 2 rear SPK8-S 2.0 with this Sound Bar.

So for the Cons , looks like there is no HDMI cable coming out of the box. Have you tried to compare the audio outputs from different connectivity options. Which one is the most recommended and the best mode to get the highest quality. If it is HDMI - can you suggest the best HDMI cable that's compatible with this soundbar.
Also , you haven't talked about the App support and the features this one supports over the App. And can you compare the preset modes that come on the remote and diffrentiate on which should be used when ?
