Hello, does lg sp8a top firing speakers produce sound/dialogues in movies or they can only produce surround sound? If top firing speakers does not produce voice/dialogue does this mean out of 220W only 120W is used to produce the actual dialogue delivery?

Though in description on LG website it mentions “Our enhanced HDR, Dolby's upgraded technologies, and a cinematic mode that's fresh out of the studio deliver a truly cinematic experience.” Probably on Dolby vision. It’s a 4K tv and has earc port, if I buy Dolby enabled soundbar, would it support directly for Dolby atmos and would I be able to select Dolby atmos in apps like Netflix etc (question as it’s not supporting Dolby?)
Last month i was very much intrested to purchase SP8A but unfortunately could not find it anywhere for my desired pincode but had to finally settle for SC9S and got it delivered by amba LG electronics . After installation i am highly satisfied as it fill up all gaps i have previously in jebronics 9500 WS at my present location. It has all the requirements one needs in current tech setup of soundbars . I am now looking to add a set of rear speakers to add a true surround effect. I connected both the soundbars to my TV and both are now working concurrently without any issue at the cost of dolby atmos and DTS for time being If one has to watch videos in dolby vision or atmos sound then one has to switch back to HDMI mode . It isa nice piece of soundbar and worth to discuss .

It is totally waist. On youtube it is not possible to experience real sound quality which I am experiencing at store. I will be recording via my phone, then will upload to youtube. UA-cam will compress the audio n video. Then you will listen via headphone. So plz don't search for audio files on youtube. For this you have to go to store. I can only share my experience through my words that's all.
Go for LG SP11RA or S95QR. You can operate both soundbars with your TV remote. And LG soundbar has that option to use TV speakers with the bar. But that is not actually effective. After connecting, soundbar & TV doesn't sync properly n sounds weird. It is effective with samsung Q- symphony. You can use TV speakers as extra channels with the bar.

There is a problem with bass in LG soundbars. I have a separate video on this. You have to do a reset from the app. It will resolve the issue. Same happened to me also with my SP11RA that is a RS 80000 item. There was no bass. That reset resolved the issue
In lg showroom I checked sc9s and sp8a tthrough the phones bluetooth. I found that surround d bass punch is better in sp8a. Sc9s has clarity but lesser bass punch compared to sp8a. Also sp8a is roughly 10k cheaper.

I am personally using the SC9S model and i can say that the IMAX Enhanced Technology is just Next Level I Played Jumanji Movie In IMAX Enhanced Format The Soundbar Was Decoding Lossless DTS X Signals of around 5000 kbps and The Experience was just wow. In Jumanji there is a scene of ostriches running behind Dune Buggy in Desert The Experience Was So Immersive that i am now seriously considering to buy the rear speaker kit separately.
Did you watched it on streaming service hotstar or via Rip/blueray disc. I guess one needs to have a compitable TV for Imax Enhanced like sony has . I have same sound bar but could not find any Imax Enhanced title on Hotstar . Or you can guide me, if you dont have a compatible Imax Enhanced TV ,then one can not enjoy it . If you have then it is all fine. I know that limitation of mine On Imax Enhanced Rips i watched that . Pure magic

For hotstar india, Imax enhanced is not yet operational. We have to wait. They are only offering this feature in other countries currently. That's why you can't experience that even if your soundbar has.

For voice, only center channel does the job mainly. Other speakers used to provide background sounds.

If it has eARC then it can decode lossless atmos n you can buy any atmos system. But give your TV model number plz. I will check and confirm.

Without ARC port firestick 4k will not be able to do the job. Like DDP signals cannot be transmitted. So He will not get atmos support on OTTs

It is not available in india. It is called Arcana. You have to buy online via international website. Will cost around 25K

If your tv has ARC support atleast then will get atmos on OTTs. And if has eARC then will get trueHD atmos support
